Nigeria, amidst its current economic tribulations, stands poised to emerge stronger, affirmed Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

His remarks came during a courtesy visit from Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the newly appointed Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), on Tuesday.

Represented by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged residents to remain composed as the government strategizes on palliative measures to alleviate the prevailing economic challenges.

"We appeal to our people to be calm and patient with us; Nigeria is injured and it’s currently going through a surgical operation; it will come out of this stronger," Hamzat reiterated, echoing the governor's sentiments.

Highlighting the vision for economic transformation, Hamzat outlined plans to establish the largest logistic hub, aiming to bypass middlemen and streamline processes for enhanced efficiency.

He credited the guidance of President Bola Tinubu in steering the state towards success, emphasizing the collective efforts focused on development.
