A staff of Lagos Television, Oluwafemi Adelere, has slumped and died. He was the 10th staff to have died this year.

•The late Adelere

Adelere died in the early hours of Monday after he was said to have slumped in the bathroom at his residence around Ketu area of Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
The deceased was said to be hale and hearty on the eve of his demise as he was bubbling with life on Sunday.
Some staff of the television station told P.M.NEWS that Adelere even supervised the sharing of goodies from the Turkish Embassy as Sallah package to senior staff of the company on the eve of his death.
“He was not sick. He even shared the rams given to the station by the Turkish Embassy to the beneficiaries on Sunday. He went home after that and the following day he was said to be taking his bath in the bathroom when he complained of hotness of the body and slumped in the bathroom and died immediately,” a staff of the station told P.M.NEWS under the condition of anonymity.
There was absolute gloominess at the premises of the television station on Tuesday when the news of Adelere’s death was announced to the staff. Some could not believe it because they saw the deceased two days earlier, hale and hearty.
The deceased was buried on Wednesday at his home town, Ilaro, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, while his wife is said to be pregnant.
Staff of the station became agitated and worried because before Adelere’s death, nine staff had died this year while at least four passed on last year.
Those who died this year are Idowu Olaniyan, Duncan Ofili, Ganiyu Bakare, Yeye Sijuade, Tutu Badmus, who died while giving birth; Joke and two drivers.
In 2010, at least four staff were said to have died at the station. Two of them are Toun Adeloye and Saka Atobatele, who was crushed by a trailer while on a motorbike.
“The strange thing about the nine staff that died this year was that they always come to the office hale and hearty on the eve of their death and later go home to die. As a result of these incessant deaths, pastors and Imams were invited to render prayers at the company to stop it.
“Founder of Mountain of Fire and Prayer Ministry, MFM, Dr. Daniel Olukoya sent two prayer warriors from the church to pray in our office against these incessant deaths. Pastors from Christ Apostolic Church and Celestial Church have also come to pray against untimely deaths.
