John Okafor Popularly known as Mr Ibu is a Nigerian veteran actor and comedian who was born on October 17, 1961. He hails from Nkanu West, located in Enugu State, Nigeria. He was born and raised there, he is loved by a lot of people both in Nigeria and the diaspora.

Mr. Ibu is considered to be one of Nigeria’s most talented comic characters. His humorous acting is often characterized by stupidity, hilarious imbecility, and a sharp disconnection from reality. For his education, Mr. Ibu attended his primary school education in his village (Enugu State) and moved to Delta State for his secondary school education. After his secondary school education, Mr Ibu was admitted into the College of Education, Yola but due to he was unable to pay his fees, he dropped out. After saving up money from his menial jobs, he went to the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu, where he studied Mass Communication and bagged a BSc in Mass communication.
