I'm not talking about competition, they're unbelievably racist and will use any opportunity to make life difficult or annoying for the africans around them. If you knew how invested in selling africans expired drugs these people are for example, you would understand. Ask any of your family in India make otu ha na eme. You will not start seeing 'no black allowed' buildings in Aba lol. Watch
not really prepared for rounds of senseless arguments. You say you're not talking about logic but want us to run in circles.

Do Indians or Western brands do that in China?
Does Airtel do it?
Did like Limca do it?
Airtel can't do it because MTN and Glo are already there. Limca was at home here because Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Crush etc already made the competition hot.

An Indian pharmaceutical firm in Aba for instance, will do that as much as monopoly affords them the privilege. The story changes if the same firm shares environment with Juhel, orange drugs or M&B factory. Availability of infrastructure helps foreign and local investors alike, hence, the call on our people to leverage on it.

FDI helps in creating more jobs increases Igr and more inflows of dollars but also can kill small industries loose of economy control of ur land and capital fright but in all no countries grows it potential without foreign investment China have some foreign companies in there land but they will never brag with it like our western neighbors here instead they brag with Chinese own companies, over 95% of industries in South East are indginous own we need some foreign investors to complement it so is a welcome development but we not forget who we are they choose Aba bcs the ppl have been controlling west Africa market already from there

Congratulations to we Igbos it have been goodnews all this

Aba Geometric power working

When seplate Anoa gas project is completed this year Imo will cement it place as second largest economy and even give Lagos a run for her money

Morethan 5 industrial estate is being developed by Soludo in Anambra including the pharmaceutical industrial estate

Lion Business park
One of the largest industrial estate is going on in Enugu

Ebonyi have witnessed infrastructure development recently like never

Asaba is among most fastest developing and
expanding cities in Nigeria Ibusa Ogwashi uku is getting chained together with Asaba

If prof Barth Nnaji Alone can do this in Aba imagine what we Igbos can do if we all agreed to do it

Same thing I’m wondering, my brother.

We set up something like this, and the first thing we think of is to fill it up with foreigners.

What about our own people?

How will they grow?

When the Chinese and Indians set up these facilities in their countries, they don’t look for foreigners to fill up the place. It’s for their own local industries and business people.
Chines was brought in to take trade from Igbos in Lagos I remember around 2008s Agric building materials warehouse suddenly wherd filled up with Chinese gradually they where out competed and went back to there manufacturing,

Igbos where born into competition being 100 selling same thing and everyone doing fine is just a cultural thing Igbos are never afraid of competition the Indians and Igbos industries will stay side by side and shun out products it can only increase more market target Igboman will never run away from abandon his industry because of foreign industries is never in Igbo dna

quote author=Bulldozer90 post=128756982] not in Igboland. Competition will put them in check.
You do not want a influx of these people into your african city unless you want to learn why Idi Amin deported them all in his time. Why not upgrade the thousands of micro factories in Aba?

What happened to Idi Amin and Uganda after that .

Met a few Ugandan Indians ,who run general convivence stores in Lambeth, London . They are very happy with Idi Amin decision, after this decision , they went to better countries and they are prospering .
Their children are in IT or finance .

Now Uganda is requesting them to come and invest in their country , just google .

To overcome the excess of any foreigners , the host country should have strong law and active enforcement to enforce the said laws .

Deportation or seizing foreigners assets in that country will contribute to countries decline , just ask Venezuela and Zimbabwe .

All these Deportation or seizing assets will feel poor people happy ,but ultimately backfire on these very own poor people .

having said that , Any Indian or Chinese investors or others investing in present day Nigeria are out there to oppress and overlord over the people ,while milking easy money .

Create a enabling environment like power ,Infrastructure in Nigeria , the best of them will come . Not the scambags or scammers like the Indian quoted in above article .

Was Idi Amin trying to curse their generations or get them out of his country? Sounds like everyone got what they wanted.

In few years from now aba will definitely be one of the top industrial city in the world I watched a video today on Facebook where one US based igbo guy called Sam Zion was being interviewed he says he is planning to relocate his company that builds houses and chairs with plastic wastes to aba.

Well , he got them deported and these fellows are having better life than in Uganda , while the people of Uganda are suffering .

The point iam trying to make is , In a globalized world . No country in every part of world can arbitrary seize assets and order deportations , with out facing financial consequences .

First step is to create enabling Environment ,for business to thrive , then encourage local companies with subsidy or guarantees to thrive against foreign companies .
China has done that and India is in the process of doing that .

Iam glad that Nigeria is doing steps to encourage ,what China and India are doing .
Every country faced hardship while doing it . The country which endured are prospering now.

not a bad point, but be aware that they are coming to insult you constantly. If it were chinese, that is ok.

You should not compare a Ugandan with an Igboman. I am pretty sure they will have to compete with the most intelligent ethnic group in Africa, who are reputed to be the most business-minded.

I expect them to fear and respect Ndigbo, after a few months of dealing with them.

Thank God you are not the governor of Abia state, or Abia would definitely have been short-changed by your myopic style.

Did you read anywhere that Igbos are banned from establishing their manufacturing outfits in the Economic city?
Do you even need anyone to tell you that Igbo businesses will even dominate the place.

The more difficult investments to attract are the foreign ones, but the Abia state administrators have succeeded in bringing in Chinese and Indian manufacturing companies, and instead of you to hail them for this fantastic achievement, you are here reasoning like a previous Ebonyi state governor.

Aba is on Lagos’s industrial level to be frank.
7years from now Aba industrial sector will overpower neighbouring Port Harcourt. Port Harcourt’s sole wealth is in god-given oil while Aba is in manufacturing.

Aba is on massive industrialization. Aba is phasing from Imu Oru (learning handwork such as shoes and tailoring under someone ), into commercialisation and industrialisation.

After Lagos, the next foreign investment location in Abia state.
V u been to Lagos Nigeria?

Pls u need to stop talking without facts.

ABA has done well with power but was failing with others things before Ott.

Lagos is ahead of abia by exponential difference

Lol, you talk like it’s not Igbos here. We take competition to others in their home turf and win them hands down yet you believe we can’t compete with Indians in our own land?

No country or region in the world can truly become an economic giant by doing it alone. Even China that once closed its borders had to eventually open it and that was when they became the most enterprising and most economically prosperous nation in the world. We need the Chinese and Indians to come and invest while we watch and compete in any areas we can.

We are not oftenmanu people that will live in slums and do agbero while outsiders dominate everywhere .
