My husband is Nigerian but I am from a western country. In my family it is quite normal to text or call around our family members. However, my husband does not like texting or calling while he is at his Mommy's house. He will say "I have not called or texted because I am with mommy" and he tells me she gets mad if I call or text when he is there.

Is this normal in Nigerian culture?
