One of the most wicked acts employed by the Tinubu-led administration is its penchant to dish out propaganda and make senseless comparisons.

Immediately, Tinubu thoughtlessly removed subsidies, which led to the price of PMS skyrocketing from N185/liter to over N600/liter. The APC and their supporters went to town with the lie that Buhari had already removed subsidies in January. When they were told that Buhari had already made provisions for subsidies up until June 2023, they returned with "it wasn't budgeted for in the 2023 appropriation bill.

Not done; they argued that, after all, other presidential candidates like Atiku and Peter Obi in the 2023 general elections did promise to remove subsidies. So what's the difference? And that the current calamitous economic outcomes would have been the same.

They went further to compare fuel prices with neighboring African countries, even going as far as comparing the price of fuel in Nigeria with Europe, Asia, and America, arguing that Nigeria still pays the cheapest gas prices in the whole wide world.
One begins to wonder if these countries use the same naira as Nigeria or have the same per capita income as Nigeria. One striking thing about these senseless comparisons is that they will never compare the minimum wage of the countries they mention with that of Nigeria.

Tinubu then floated the naira, which has led to a currency depreciation never witnessed in history. His supporters went to town, and first they argued that Tinubu didn't float the naira. They were referred to the statement emanating from the CBN stating that they will no longer intervene in the foreign exchange market and that the exchange rates will now be determined by forces of demand and supply. They argued that the naira's current value is not its true value. When asked what the true value of the naira is, there was no answer.

When they realized that their lies and propaganda were failing woefully, they began blaming everyone but themselves. They blamed Obasanjo, Yar Adua, Jonathan, and Buhari; they even blamed women's wigs, Crypto, Binance, BDC's, etc. They employed crude methods like using guns and ammo, attacking BDC's businesses, and engaging in legitimate business.

They are aware that Tinubu's economic policies have become disastrous, with the inflation rate rising, leading to hunger and starvation, but instead they resort to blaming others but themselves.
