The topic as you can see is tagged "moral decadence" a sort of total decline in some standard of living in general terms. This is both as a family, individual, and indeed as a society. The question that may come up here is what do we do and what do we transfer to the next generation in terms of culture and standard of living, I mean inheritance. Because, often it seems to me that, there seems to be a distraction in this line of thinking in general of what is going to be our legacy.
Not that people are not aware that such concepts or ideas as a contention do not exist to be seriously addressed. Except that people don't seem to share the very spirit of collectivism of concerned, on the contrary, often they are so barged down in the direction of individualism that does not seems to solve any problem rather than to compound it. Now let me extend this further in terms of a continent of the like Africa which seems to find itself in what I choose to call il "Bivio" or the junction with so many pathways that leads, no doubt so somewhere.
What happens is that she Africa seems an individual who tends to be a is sort of getting stranded as she find itself in the junction, not knowing which part is the right way to take to get to her right destination. Of cause, this could be due to her problems embedded into a complexity of problem that tends to put her into a state of nervousness and emotionally unstable and un composed as to blame everything on others for her predicament. Some contingent and necessary truths might be available to render some insight into how to get the basic things right, but only when she is prepared to do basics. But as I said, the nervousness and emotional distraction become an obstacle of which insecurity tends to find its shadow to overwhelm the spirit of clear thinking, to even know that -you just cannot -"do any quality jump" without the basic rules, simply because others are doing it.
We as an individual, as family, and society, as I said, are just missing the point in disregarding a certain basic issue like" Moral Standard of living in our society of today, as in the concept of collectivism or individualism that tends to be playing a role without actually a well-defined role in the society today. Now how long can we really have to remain in this Bivio-or Junction- is left to be desired, as there are always praises of inexplicable strive of development, truth or false?. Of cause, there is always a choice to make between Inductive method and the Deductive Method of forward moving.
The first part is to view what looks like the discrepancies that exist and adapt the right method to confront the issues that may require the Inductive method that starts “from the Particulars problems to the Universal or General problems. On the other hand is the Deductive method that starts “from the General problems or Universal to the Particulars problems. But do not get me wrong here, because in the end, it has to do with taking responsibility by every individual, family, and society that must be accountable either individually or collectively at the end of time-because distraction has a level that must be overcome for the sake of advancement.
It seems education is having the adverse negative effects on Africans to the very neglect of their culture and tradition. Therefore, they need to take a step backward, in other to get it right, because for now, they seems to be missing the mark as long as they are eager to want to move like the others with different culture and historical background . But they must pay attention to the basics of their own environment without which it could just be a wistful thinking, although, it will always appear to the contrary.
Because the others are not without their shortcoming of which they did not relent in carry out the necessary sacrifice and if you like pay the price to get to the very level of which they are to get it right a long time ago. Make no mistake, that history always have a way of demonstrating this, be it individual or culturally. It must be observed that what they are simply doing in this level is trying to fine-tune every basic steps and if you like , carrying out some corrections where it is deem necessary and may not to have got it right, like the "climate change, due to some distractions of what must have gone wrong. The African continent, on the other, instead of learning to do the basics in their unique environment and in their own way, chose to and are now, been drawn into facing up with the general trends of mistake of those who have long gotten it right.
The result is that they are in a "junction” or il Bivio’’, in sort of confused state without knowing of which direction they want to go and are not very sure of the right thing to do domestically or otherwise. The same is true that their identity seems not to matchup with what they are doing because they do not know what part to follow with the result of what looks like an infighting politically without any form or an insight of what need to be done to solve their cultural, political and historical problems. But there is always a choice to make, which is taking the step from outside-in or taking it from inside out. The overall suggestion is that the Africans must strive to mind her business by getting its ash together without falling into the same mistake like the others who fine turning their error of judgment through which they stand to learn to doing the basics in terms of moral standard and traditions although, with peculiar reality instead of want to generalize everything and behave like others.
