After a prolonged period of traditional and legal disputes, the kingship tussle within the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan has finally come to an end.

The announcement of Prince Lukeman Odamah as the rightful heir to the throne, following an executive order issued by the state government, brings a much-needed sense of relief to the people of the clan.

With this long-awaited resolution, the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan can now look forward to a future of stability and progress.

Background and History:

Comprising of three inseparable villages - Ikpeshi, Egbigere-in, and Egbigere-Out - the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan is known for its rich cultural heritage and diverse economic activities.

The clan is engaged in social cultural activities, farming, solid minerals mining, and processing, among others. With the identification of six kindred - Igun kindred, Yarenya kindred, Eminisama kindred, Ikputura kindred, Enmani kindred, and Ucha kindred - the lineage of the ruling Zaiki is traditionally determined.

The Long Battle:

For over 13 years, the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan has been embroiled in a complex and arduous battle for the throne. During this time, Prince Lukeman Odamah, a skilled political scientist, displayed remarkable diligence and determination in his fight for his rightful position.

Despite facing numerous challenges, including periods of abandonment by some, he managed to rally new alliances and garnered support from various quarters.

The New King:

With the recent affirmation by the Edo State government, Prince Lukeman Odamah is now officially recognized as the next king of the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan.

This significant development brings an end to the longstanding dispute that clarified the hereditary nature of the clan's kingship, with the ruling Zaiki required to hail from the lineage of Igun or Yareya kindred. It is with great joy and excitement that we congratulate Prince Lukeman Odamah on his well-deserved ascension to the throne.

Impact on the Clan:

The people of the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan can finally breathe a sigh of relief, as the uncertainty and absence of a king, which lasted for years, are now behind them.

With the ushering in of a new era under Prince Lukeman Odamah's reign, the clan can envisage a future marked by stability, progress, and development.

This recognition brings about a sense of unity and purpose, laying the foundation for a more prosperous and harmonious community.

Conclusion:

As the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan celebrates the dawn of a new era, they can now look forward to a period of peace and prosperity.

The resolution of the long-fought kingship tussle signifies the triumph of justice and the reinvigoration of their traditional values.

Prince Lukeman Odamah's appointment as the new king injects fresh hope and optimism into the hearts of the people. With faith in his leadership and the support of his subjects, the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan is poised to embark on a journey of growth and success.

May Prince Lukeman Odamah's reign be marked by greatness and may the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan thrive under his guidance.
