Chidiebere Okoh tells Gov Otti to be weary of taking advice from failed Abia Speakers

..says the failed politicians flocking around him will disperse once he fails just like them.

.. "They don't have anything to offer as advice because they failed in their time"

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State, Hon Chidiebere Okoh, has expressed displeasure at the recent shambolism and hypocrisy being exhibited by certain Abia State politicians towards the successes being recorded by Governor Alex Chioma Otti, who has, within the shortest time displayed high dexterity in applying unparalleled leadership and administrative acumen needed to turn the fortunes of Abia State from state of squalor to take its place among states of the federation that can be said to be doing well.

In a statement he issued from his Abuja base on Sunday, the former Abia North Senatorial candidate said he is not against Abia politicians throwing support behind a performing governor or the sportsmanship Dr Alex Otti has displayed in opening his doors to carry everyone along for the good of Abia State, a clear paradigm shift from the usual "Winner Takes All" attitude that had existed under PDP for over 2 decades. That in itself is a welcome development.

He said his argument is based on the recent developments where practically failed leaders of the past who couldn't deliver on their responsibility to the people during their shot as leaders, now choose to form a gang of technical advisers to the man who is doing what they couldn't do when they had the opportunity to, saying that it is an insult on the collective intelligence of Ndi Abia.

In his words: "I am peeved by the latest development in Abia State and will not keep quiet as men who had failed the people as leaders gather themselves as hulks to seek relevance and a place in the new Abia state by offering unsolicited advice to the working governor on how best to do the things they had the opportunity to do best when they had the opportunity but they did not.

"Most of them are in APC, some are hanging on the balance in PDP to seek relevance in the Labour Party. I assure Dr Alex Otti that if he allows them to infiltrate his circle with their baggage, he will lose the trust Ndi Abia has in him. They are not seeking your favor to help you succeed, they're coming close to ensure you fail like they did so that posterity will be as unkind to you as it has been to them.

"To me and other well-meaning Abians, it is an anomaly and unacceptable that some past leaders like Sir Udo Oko-Chukwu (the immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State), Chief Stanley Ohajuruka, Chief Arua Arunsi, Chief Martin Azubuike, Chief Agwu U Agwu (all of whom were speakers of state house assembly), who performed abysmally during their time as speakers will suddenly, possibly have any good advice to give because one cannot give what you don't have", he said.

Okoh therefore advised that they should be kept at bay from the new Abia while advising them to plant themselves more firmly where they are in order not to distract or detail the newfound Abia under the able hands of Dr Alex Chioma Otti.
