I must commend Fr Obinya for initiating this peace move. However, he should also extend it to Philip Shaibu who is the aggressor here but pretending to be the victim.
As a Catholic, I must say that Philip Shaibu is disgracing the Catholic Church and I feel ashamed to be associated with him as a fellow catholic.
The other day, he decided to organize an open Mass in his office just to paint a picture that the Governor is preventing Mass from being offered at the Government house chapel.
If I may ask Philip Shaibu, as a baptized and a confirmed Catholic what did you learn in cathechism about the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit?
Theese gifts are
1. wisdom
2. understanding
3. counsel
4. fortitude
5. knowledge
6. piety
7. fear of the Lord.
In all honesty, Philip Shaibu is lacking in all that I mentioned above.
Shaibu should go and seek forgiveness from Obaseki and God and stop embarrassing the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin.

He was Parish Priest of St. Patrick's Ugbowo around 2008. I know he became Chaplain of St. Albert's but that was after his stint at St. Patrick's. I used to attend daily Mass there because it was a walkable distance from where I stayed in Osasogie

I'm glad other people have similar testimony about the man. It confirms to me that it wasn't just me but there is something exceptional about Fr Obinyan. I recall a hymn he loved singing:
