summary... the rumours are true
Walai! Even Opeyemi Bamidele confirmed it here: https://www.nairaland.com/8028364/some-senators-want-remove-before

He only introduced ethnic division at the beginning of his speech because he knows that idiots will be blinded by tribal sentiments. And those idiots are in the majority.

In the year 2011, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila the current Chief of Staff rejected the OFR national award by the Goodluck Jonathan Government.

Hon. Gbajabiamila gave his reasons then based on a strong personal conviction on the calibre of people who were receipents of the award in the past.

Gbaja became a Hero in the National Assembly for this singular act, he later became Majority Leader and Speaker in the House of Reps because he had the respect of the members for being upright.

The opposition party in the National Assembly which are mainly the (PDP, Labour Party, NNPP & YPP) have the greatest opportunity now to pitch thier party by standing on the side of the people.

N500m was shared amongst top ranking principal officers simple ! Yemi Adaramodu should save us the joke.

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele from Ekiti agreed that the said amount was disbursed and challenged Nigerians to give them 12 MONTHS to execute the Constituency projects the funds were designed for.

These same Legislators diverted N100m which PBAT provided as funds to cushion the effects of subsidy removal for vulnerable people by providing grains for the festivities of Dec., 2023 in their communities.

The funds were padded into the budget obviously.

The opposition lawmakers over to you.

The senators generally didn't deny it outrightly because they added money for constituencies projects into the budget. Only that it's unconstitutional for them to be doing Local government chairman's responsibility
I no a fool will support dem

The Nigerian budget is passed by BOTH the Senate and the House of Representatives

Jointly

So Why the focus on Akpabio when talking of padding
If there was padding it was not only the Senate

How come there was no single mention of Tajudeen Abass the Speaker House of Representatives
He is not mentioned ONCE

Was it only the Senate that passed the budget

Southerners better wake up

Senator Ningi the Brave whistleblower !

Nigerians are eating grains, Senators are sharing 500 million in padded budget !

Are we fighting corruption with corrupt legislators ? Tolerance of opposition is necessary in healthy politics.

Who investigates the senators ? Our corruption agencies need to be multi-party ! APC cannot be the Thief and the judge in the same court !

EFCC should have PDP, APC and LABOR party Interests as well.

This one party senate for 8 years, Operating like a secret cult, without any checks and balances ?

Senator Mendez was found to be corrupt in New jersey USA, and will go to trial.

Nigerian senators breed and feed corruption as untouchables. This has to change. Senator Ningi should be called back immediately.

A multi-party investigation should be carried out. Not Mob action and jungle justice as witnessed today in the senate.

You cannot suspend someone because he accused you of corruption, thats kangaroo politics.
why should we care? Our man is there make our people chop like buhari people chop for his 8 years, the cycle will continue untill nigeria became 6th World country nigeria never reach 3rd world country

Same way governors threatened Akpabio with impeachment for daring to reveal to the masses that Tinubu gave 30billion each state to use and caution the effect of rising food prices.

Some senators did get 500M as claimed, these shameless dishonorable Honorables have been exposed by one of their own, and instead of admitting it, they are now lying to cover up lies, when the truth is already in the public domain.
