The first question that should be asked is that what is IPSAS? IPSAS means International Public Sector Accounting Standards. The update was organised by the Nigerian High Commission in London and is part of talks held pursuant to the global implementation of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) all over the world. See road map below. People did not need to travel to attend because you could easily connect online and benefit via Teams and/or Zoom. There is nobody in that hall-way in the picture so we cannot guess the number of people that flew in from Nigeria, if any or many. But in the present world, nobody needs to travel anywhere in the world for training or conferences unless you are a key resource person or speaker. I attend five day global conferences in my field in other parts of Europe sitting in my room in my pyjamas.

Can we see hypocrisy of this government, they told us the messes to endure hardship, while they continue to embarked on jamboree all over the world. Why not do it with resource persons virtually or at worst invite them to conduct it in Nigeria. The government claimed that they lack foreign exchange, at the same time approved wasteful use of the same scarce foreign exchange.

There is nothing hypocritical about this, this country isn't only made for politicians and civil servants alone, what about ordinary Nigerians? Who is going to trained them abroad? Let them kuku train everybody abroad now?

As a government, you are crying that you don't have enough resources but you keep spending public funds with reckless abandon and then you have the temerity to mention me and call it hypocrisy?

Some students were abducted few days back, nothing is being done to get them out but our senators are sharing N500M for constituency projects of boreholes in 21st century.

If they want to train themselves abroad, are you telling me that the OAGF cannot afford to train herself abroad? But it must be with tax payers money, for calling me out like this shows you are one of the problems facing this country. [/b]

I need that cry emoji like anything now, so the facilitator(s) whom I'm sure are not more than 10 cannot be brought down to Abuja (flights and hotel accomodations) paid rather than fly 36 AGs of all the states and possibly their PAs etc, hotel paid, feeding estacodes at enormous cost to the nation's depleted reserves angry

I thought accountants are frugal and meticulous people; it appears it's not so in this Balablu administration undecided

So, these leaders don't have a thinking cap to know it's less expensive to fly-in the resource persons than for legion of government participants to fly to UK, lodge in UK, eat foreign foods and collect estacode

So because that is how they have been doing it , you should continue the wastefulness in this Emilokan economy.

So because the resources persons reside there, it makes sense to fly all those people and host them out of town for five days rather than fly in a couple of facilitators and lodge them while saving our scarce dollars and boosting the local market ?
