Oga, he is still right! The fact that he belongs to labour party, an opposition party in control of a region in UK, is a good one for the eventually defeat of Sunak in the general elections. It means that he would work for his labour party 's candidate, Sir Steirmer in the general elections against Sunak. Imagine if other regions, Scotland and Northern Ireland falls to Labour, Sunak is done in the general elections.

The answer you seek has to do with the history of racism intertwined with slavery and its politics of domination.

Its mainly America's fault that this is normal . Anyway to answer your question specifically, the powers that be have since decided that irrespective of how you look, as long as you have a noticeable drop of black blood, you are black. Funnily this seems to only apply to the black race and not mixed Asians or any other mix.

Effectively, all the constituents of the UK except for Northern Ireland are governed by non-English/whites.

Humza Haroon Yousaf - First Minister of Scotland, who is a Pakistani
Leo Varadkar - Prime Minister of Ireland, whose dad was Indian and whose mom was Irish
Rishi Sunak - Indian heritage
