President Bola Tinubu speaks on Senator Abdul Ningi's budget padding allegation, says some people didn't understand the arithmetic.

Senator Abdul Ningi accused the leadership of the National Assembly of padding the 2022 budget with over N300 billion. 

He claimed that the budget was padded with projects that were not initially included in the executive proposal. 

Ningi alleged that these additions were made without the knowledge or approval of the relevant committees. 

The report highlighted that Senator Ningi raised these concerns during plenary, calling for transparency and accountability in the budget process. 

Additionally, he requested an investigation into the matter to determine those responsible for the alleged budget padding.
