You mean fuel subsidy that has increased your state and local government faac? The country kept on subsiding fuel for almost half the continent, a trillion naira every year. Money that could have built new roads and achieve a higher standard of living for the common man.

Or is it the CBN policy where bank managers and high power players gets dollar for 400/1 while the common man gets it at black market for 700/1?

Be specific with what you meant by calamity policy

The entire Tinubu's calamitous economic policies as a whole, no specifics

Tinubu may or may not announce the new minimum wage in May.

Either way, Nigerian workers still have an uphill battle before them.
but he can quickly attend to increment in salary of the judiciary, because they are important to him,for his use

Re: Tinubu May Announce New Minimum Wage On Workers’ Day by cornelman: 9:19am On Mar 23
It's a pity that many people are fools. When it was time to remove subsidy, it was sudden- his first day in office. No hesitation. Floating of naira, no hesitation. Increasing salary of executives by 114%, no debate. Increasing salary of judges, no delay. Government has saved a lot of money from these and we have not seen any major project from the government in the past 1 year. But when it's time to increase the pay of the common man, the matter suddenly becomes an insurmountable mountain. And some people still find ways to support the government? Some people are very silly. That was how they supported and blessed Buhari for 8 years while the people suffer.

I think many Nigerians don't know that freedom is not given but earned. What is yours is not given to you easily, it is demanded and fought for.
No government is interested in the masses (not even in the so called scanner climes) unless people fight for their rights. Go and check the last protest in France and see how commoners challenge Macron face to face, shoulder to shoulder. That's democracy. Challenge your leaders and demand for your rights, not foolishly following anyone in the name of being a leader.

“Our target is to ensure that Mr President announces the minimum wage by the 1st of May, which is the Workers’ Day, for it to take effect from April. So, we are working to meet the timeline.”

Announce something in May for it to take effect from April
Is it me or does this statement not make sense

To me that 447k proposal by the labour is simply unattainable and unreasonable .
80 k is ok .

Hmm... New minimum wage might not be more than 100k-120k.

However, all political office holders should also earn minimum wage. They are servants and are to serve the people, so given the peculiar situation in the country, they should earn the minimum wage applicable.

Also, there is need to strengthen the purchasing power of Nigerians. With this, 100k-120k would be fine.

200k would have been a perfect one!

Considering the current high cost of living, anything less than ₦100k is unrealistic.

Federal government can't pay more than 70k.
