"A Binance executive, Nadeem Anjarwalla, who was detained by Nigerian authorities for alleged tax evasion and other offenses, has reportedly fled the country, escaping custody through a Middle Eastern airline. Anjarwalla, one of the detained executives, managed to leave Nigeria using a Kenyan passport, as confirmed by sources familiar with the situation, according to Premium Times.

The executives had been lured to Nigeria under the pretense of negotiating the government's proposed ban on the crypto exchange platform. However, upon arrival, they were detained, and their passports were confiscated to prevent them from leaving the country.

Anjarwalla, aged 38, seized an opportunity to escape custody on Friday, March 22nd, during a visit to a mosque for Ramadan observance. Despite having his British passport confiscated, he reportedly used a Kenyan passport to board a Middle Eastern airline and flee the country.

The escape is believed to have been facilitated by the leniency shown towards the detained executives, including access to phones. Nigerian authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident."
