Kamen Chuks likens Ubah's Nnewi colloquium, empowerment rally to Obama's campaign

A Media consultant, Mr Kamen Chuks, has likened the colloquium and empowerment rally of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District , Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, held in Nnewi, Anambra State, at the weekend to that of a former President of America, Barack Obama.

Kamen writes:

■ Akin to the campaign of Barack Obama in his quest to become the first BLACK president in the history of the United States of America, what started as disbelief on the possibility of the APC to govern Anambra State is turning out to be a sure bet as the distinguished senator representing Anambra South used both occasions to showcase his various powerful and loyal political structures to the world.

■ APC with Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah as its flag bearer offers an advantage to the party that is akin to using a university lecturer in a secondary school debate competition. In the world of sports betting, his delivering APC at the forthcoming Anambra guber polls can be termed a sure bet.

■ Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has since grown even more stronger politically after winning second term with a relatively unknown party, the YPP, as he has gone on to become a key member of the leadership of the Tenth Assembly and Chairman of a Strategic Committee. He is a formidable force that you can only downplay at your own peril.

■ The power of incumbency will not work under these circumstances as events in the past few months in Anambra State have shown huge similarities with the events of 2014 to 2015 when an incumbent president lost elections for a second term in office. The great news this time is that the greatly disenchanted and disillusioned people of Anambra State under Gov Soludo's administration now have a more credible alternative in Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyichukwu Ubah CON, whose track record is widely known in the country.

■ APGA has not advanced after 18 years of being in the leadership saddle of Anambra State and has therefore left the people with no other choice than to embrace a return to the centre of national discourse in search of real and deserving developmental strides.

■ The huge overflow witnessed at the Ifeanyi Ubah 50,000 seater capacity Stadium during the APC rally was a clear testament to the fact that Ndi Anambra are fed up with the audio Dubai-Taiwan promises of the PDP/APGA professor of economics who has since continued to encumber them with heavy and multiple tax burden while promises of local government elections, world standard infrastructural development have remained pipe dreams, to say the least.

■ Ndi Anambra have resolved to rise above the perennial use of propaganda as a tool of deceit by APGA, which has hitherto kept our beloved Anambra State on the sidelines of the national politics and under development ,a sharp contrast with the huge human and natural resource potential that abounds in the state.

■ The Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has, by its actions in recent times, shown total commitment to changing the narrative of the southeast in Nigeria’s political sphere for the better, and that Anambra State will become an APC state in 2025 to perfect this noble project,no matter the shenanigans that comes from the outgoing Soludo government.

Indeed, when the righteous is in power, the people truly rejoice
