COPBSMI HOSTS MAIDEN EDITION OF IBOM SOCIAL MEDIA DAY 2024

Coalition of Online Publishers, Bloggers and Social Media Influencers, COPBSMI, a foremost organization of online publishers, bloggers, content creators, and digital influencers in Nigeria, is pleased to announce the hosting of the Maiden Edition of Ibom Social Media Day 2024 with the Theme: Rebranding Akwa Ibom State in Contemporary Nigeria for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development.

The event is scheduled to hold in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State on June 2024 to commemorate 2024 World Social Media Day.

Ibom Social Media Day 2024 is aim at bringing Akwa Ibom people together to celebrate the valuable and positive contributions of digital influencers who have made meaningful and tremendous inputs towards the growth and advancement of Akwa Ibom online community, thereby promoting and projecting the image of our dear state in good light.

Moreover, Ibom Social Media Day 2024 will provide an opportunity for positive engagements among media professionals, digital marketers, Journalists, and online Influencers.

Our core mandate is not only to bring online publishers, bloggers, content creators, digital marketers, web developers, etc, together to synergize in promoting and rebranding Akwa Ibom online community to attract investment for economic and development activities, but also to honour by public acknowledgement those Akwa Ibom online influencers who merit recognition and distinction for their exploits gearing towards spotlighting Akwa Ibom State positively at the national and global stage.

The event which promises to be the largest gathering of online media practitioners in Akwa Ibom State, will have speakers drawn from different sectors to speak on topical issues and principles guiding media practices and social media activities in Nigeria.

Major highlights of the event would include keynote address, unveiling of Top 50 Akwa Ibom Social Media Influencers, recognition of Top 15 Online News Brands in Akwa Ibom State, among other side attractions.

Meanwhile, Nomination of Top 50 Akwa Ibom Social Media Influencers and Top 15 Online News Brands in Akwa Ibom State respectively is open to the general public.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION OF TOP 50 AKWA IBOM ONLINE INFLUENCERS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. Nominee must be an Akwa Ibom citizen by birth or marriage or indigene of other states residence in Akwa Ibom State beyond 10 years.

2. Nominee must have active social media account especially Facebook account/page and have 10,000 followers and above.

3. Nominee must be very active on Facebook and have more online engagements on his or her posts.

4. Nominee must use his or her social media platforms to promote genuine causes, advocate for the underprivileged and voiceless in our society.

5. Nominee may not likely be a media practitioner but has active online presence.

6. Nominee must reach age of 18 and above.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION OF TOP 15 ONLINE NEWS BRANDS

1. Nominee must have wider coverage

2. Nominee must have 10,000 followers and above

3. Nominee must use their platform to project Akwa Ibom State in good light.

4. Nominee must have active online engagements.

Ibom Social Media Day 2024 is free and open to Journalists, Media Aides, Bloggers, Online Publishers, Vloggers, Digital Marketers, Public Relations Practitioners, Social Media Influencers, Content Creators, etc.
