AYCF Highlights Threat To Tinubu's Re-election Bid Through Manipulation by Jatuski: 7:28am On Apr 03
The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has raised concerns about the clandestine efforts of corrupt political actors to undermine the nation’s democracy.

According to the President-General of the AYCF, Yerima Shettima, it is disheartening to witness a group of unscrupulous individuals attempting to sow seed of discord among leaders for their own selfish political gains.

The forum highlighted the continuous attempts of certain northern politicians to drive a wedge in the relationship between President Tinubu and Defence Minister, Bello Matawalle and emphasized that these corrupt politicians are uncomfortable with the support and promotion Matawalle provides to Tinubu's interests in the North.

In his statement, Shettima condemned the actions of this group, stating, "Matawalle is targeted for his resilience against the recent rumors of instigation of the military to undermine democracy.

"The AYCF stands firm in its commitment to preserving the democratic values of the nation and ensuring that such manipulative tactics do not hinder the democratic process.

"AYCF urges all Nigerians to remain vigilant against any attempt by corrupt politicians to subvert democracy and calls on law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute those who seek to undermine Nigeria's democratic system."

Shettima further said, the forum remains committed to supporting leaders who prioritize Nigeria's development over personal gain and will continue to advocate for policies that benefit all Nigerians.
