First bank is owing me N7,000 in an account I don't have the pass book again. I don't even have the details but it be traced with my name. I operated the account while I was in Benin City in mid 90s,

Wema bank is owing me 90k. Maryland Branch, Lagos. I don't have the passbook and withdrawal book also.

The defunct People's bank took off with my 90k also
Banks are owing us too.

But I fear NASU, UI chapter for that huge loan.

It seems Femi Otedola wants to bring a brutal leadership style to First Bank.. cheesy

But then, there's nothing wrong with owing a bank. What's actually wrong is defaulting on your repayment plan.

If those loans were performing, we won't be discussing default na. How can you publish the names of your top performing borrowers unless you want to give competitors unnecessary Intel.

Why would you lend our so much without collateral??

All the past and present executives should be fined.

By the way all banks do this. They keep approving unrealistic budgets and earn unjustified bonuses. The CBN has not fulfilled its oversight function.

When a business owes a bank, the bank is in trouble.......😀

But, when an individual owes a bank, that individual is in trouble........😀

Re: First Bank Debtors. Starcomms Owing N40b by Malawian(m): 6:04pm On Apr 03
If you checked, the real amount being owed (i.e the amount the bank lent to Starcomms) is less than 5 Billion and the rest of the 35 Billion is "Interest".

And that is even after Starcomms might have paid more that the 5 Billions "Servicing" the loan.

If it is me, i am not paying anything again.

you are the only reasonable person on this thread asking the right question, what happened to the collaterals..why can't they liquidate those collaterals and get back depositors money they lent out ... people should note ..banks don't have any money it's me and you money they are lending people out there.

Minimum capital base is 25bn, why would you lend 20bn to one organization?
You’re stressing single obligor rules even if not broken
Check if starcomms has any link to a last or present firsbank Director (all the big loans Infact) and let that Director be on the hook to repay back
