In the presence of ministries, prominent figures in education, and members of the National Assembly, the president officially signed the bill into law on today, Wednesday, at the Presidential Villa's Council Chambers in Abuja.

Restoring the 2004 Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Bill, the new law repeals the existing Students Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act of 2023.

The executive law creates a corporate entity called the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, whose job it is to receive, manage, and invest monies in order to lend money to Nigerians who want to pursue higher education, career training, or skill development programs.
