Hon. Afolabi Afuape Initiates Feeding Program for 1,000 Tertiary Students in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency

In a bid to alleviate the challenges faced by tertiary students in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Member of the House of Representatives, has launched a feeding program targeting 1,000 students. Spearheaded by his Special Assistant on Students Matters, Ibrahim Adeniran, the initiative kicked off with the distribution of food items to 300 students as a pilot phase.

Expressing his commitment to supporting education and youth empowerment, Hon. Afolabi Afuape emphasized the importance of addressing the nutritional needs of students to ensure their academic success. "Investing in the well-being of our students is crucial for the development of our society," he remarked.

Two beneficiaries of the program shared their appreciation for the support they received. "This initiative has eased the financial burden on me and allowed me to focus more on my studies," said Temitayo Oladipupo, a beneficiary. Another student, Feyi Adelekan, expressed gratitude, stating, "I am grateful to Hon. Afolabi Afuape for caring about our welfare as students."

In his remarks, Ibrahim Adeniran highlighted the significance of the feeding program in promoting access to education and enhancing the overall welfare of students. "Our aim is to ensure that no student goes hungry while pursuing their academic goals," he affirmed.

The feeding program is set to continue, with plans to extend support to an additional 700 students in the coming weeks. Through collaborative efforts and community engagement, Hon. Afolabi Afuape and his team are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students and every constituent in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.

Look what APC has reduced Nigerians to - a country of beggars. It seems Tinubu wants to use hardship to discourage parents from breeding children they can't cater for. The only problem is that we will have more corporate and almajiri beggars.

How long are we going to throw food and palliatives to people?

While this measure is aimed to ameliorate the instant impact, thr government should not sleep else this becomes a normal thing.

Whatever has eroded the shame and buying power of people to the extent of surviving on palliatives and handouts from government needs to be revisited.

It's not all the thread you guys should be doing blame game. It's just something hard for you to appreciate whatever the HOR might have done.

If na for your region or your party representative who did this, the narration would have been different
