ExJAMB BOSS accused by ICPC
names Chief Bisi Akande's associate
in betrayal tales

As the former JAMB boss Prof. Dibu
Ojerinde battles serious fraudulent
charges preferred against him by
the ICPC, he is lamenting how some
of his friends took money from him
ostensibly to help him prevail on
top government officials to stop the
prosecution but to no avail.
Family sources close to Prof. Dibu
Ojerinde said among several friends
that he had spoken to for help, it
was the case of Prof. Olu Aina whic
pained him the most because "Aina
had boasted that he would persuad
Chief Bisi Akande to prevail on
the new ICPC Chairman to end his
prosecution."
He claimed that Aina who have beer
his agelong friend even collected
several thousands of dollars from
him-Ojerinde. The accused Prof said
he was shocked after he had paid
Aina that ICPC officials still went
ahead to rearrest him and continued
with the prosecution.
According to the former JAMB
Boss "| had to lament openly before
the ICPC operatives how much
dollars Aina took from me. He never
forwarded the money and has not
even returned the dollars to me up
till now. What kind of friend is this?
The trial of the former Registrar
of the Joint Admission and
Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof
Dibu Ojerinde, and his four children
on money laundering charges is
still on at the Federal High Court in
Abuja.
ICPC had, on June 15, last year
arraigned the ex-JAMB registrar on
charges of official corruption and
abuse of office.

In a charge marked FHC//ABJ/CR/
119/2023, Ojerinde was arraigned
alongside four of his children: Mary
Ojerinde, Olumide Ojerinde, Adebayo
Ojerinde and Oluwaseun Ojerinde as
the eighth to 11th defendants.
Also joined in the 17-count charge
are six companies linked to him,
namely Doyin Ogbohi Petroleum
Limited, Cheng Marbles Limited,
Sapati International Schools Limited,
Trillium Learning Centre Limited,
Standout Institutes Limited and Esli
Perfect Security Printers Limited as
2nd to 7th defendants, respectively.
The defendants pleaded not guilty
to the counts preferred against them
and were granted bail by the court.
In the 17 charges, ICPC alleged
that the former JAMB boss
conspired with three of his children
(Oluwaseun Ojerinde, Olumide
Ojerinde, and Adebayo Ojerinde) to
sell off property worth $150,000
after it had been forfeited to the
Federal Government by a court order

The property is at House No. 4
Ahomko Drive, Achimota Phase 2.
Accra, Ghana.
The prosecution also accused
Ojerinde of incorporating companies
and taking up simultaneous
appointments as chairman and
director while being a public officer
on full-time appointment as registrar
and chief executive of the National
Examinations Council (NECO),
Minna and the Joint Admission and
Matriculation Board (JAMB), Bwari,
Abuja
