DR ORJI UZOR KALU NEVER OWED ANY PENSIONER IN THE STATE AS GOVERNOR

A retired civil servant from Obingwa, Abia State, sat in front of my radio, fuming with anger as he listened to the Commissioner for Finance make false claims about the payment of pension areas in the state. I couldn't believe what i was hearing.

"I have to speak up," I thought to myself. "The truth must be told."

I picked up my phone and dialed a local radio station, telling side of the story, he never owed us
As i waited for the call to be connected, my mind wandered back to my time as a civil servant under the administration of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, the former governor of Abia State. I had retired in 2008, but I still vividly remembered the years of service under Governor Kalu's leadership.
Contrary to what the Commissioner for Finance claimed, i knew for a fact that Dr Kalu had never owed any pensioner in the state. In fact, during his tenure, the former governor had made it a priority to ensure that all salaries and pension were paid promptly and accurately. I and my colleagues had never experienced any delays or discrepancies in the payments.
But as much as i admired Dr Kalu's leadership, i also knew that the former governor was not one to seek praises for his good deeds. He did what needed to be done for the people without expecting anything in return. It was this humility and selflessness that had earned him the love and respect of the people of Abia State.

"So Let me set the record straight,"

"Dr Orji Uzor Kalu was a great leader who never owed any pensioner in Abia State during his tenure as governor. In fact, he made it a priority to ensure that we were paid promptly and accurately."
That's why I took my time to explain how the former governor had implemented various initiatives to improve the lives of the pensioners in the state, including regular health check-ups and pensioner support programs.

As i end it here, I know my will phone will start ringing continuously with calls from fellow pensioners and other citizens of Abia State, thanking me for speaking the truth and defending Dr Kalu's reputation. because we all knows the truth.
