About The Scholarship:

The University of Alberta Graduate Entrance Scholarship, administered by the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (GPS), aims to support highly ranked applicants from their respective departments. This scholarship is available to both domestic and international students.

Application Deadline:

The deadline for the University of Alberta Graduate Entrance Scholarship program to study in Canada is April 15, 2024.

Scholarship Benefits:

Stipend value: $17,500 for Master’s; $21,000 for Doctoral.
Additional support: Domestic students receive an extra $7,100, and international students receive an extra $10,000 to help cover fees. The funds are directed to the student’s tuition and fees account.
Eligibility Requirements: Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

Admission in January 2024, May 2024, July 2024, or September 2024.
Newly admitted in a master’s or doctoral program.
Open to domestic and international students.
Open to course-based or thesis-based students.
Admission GPA of 3.7 or higher.
Full-time registration during the award period: September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025.
