Food inflation doesn't follow dollar price, there are other factors that determine food inflation and our locally manufactured goods.

Yes dollar price could go along way to reduce imported goods but the local manufacturing companies needs other indices like electricity cost, transportation cost, security of life and goods, motorable roads, etc.
No manufacturer will sell cheap when a kwh of electricity is above N200, we have not tamed insecurities in our farms, so you should'nt expect price of goods to drops anytime soon. You shouldn't blame the market woman

One important one is supply. As supply dwindles between one harvest and the next planting, and the demand surges around planting season due to seedlings demand, prices are bound to fall first then rise.
This cycle was interrupted by the naira value swing between 2023 harvest and 2024 planting.
What I find strange is the dry season program by govt and the absence of its impact on prices along this cycle. I suspect tinubu has played his usual game of politics & propaganda again.
