Bandits have invaded Angwar Danko village in Kakangi Constituency of Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Wednesday at 6 pm firing shots indiscriminately, while forcing their victims into the forest.

According to the resident of the area, men and women who were abducted by the suspected bandits are currently being marched into the forest.

Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, representative for Kakangi Ward in the State House of Assembly, confirmed the incident.

He stated that he had yet to receive full details regarding the number of villagers abducted but confirmed that it is in the dozens.

“I just received a call from the area informing me that dozens of my constituents have been abducted. The bandits have surrounded the village, and as we speak, they are still there, taking their victims into the forest. The situation is dire,” he said.

Dan Salio expressed concern, noting that most of the victims were men.

ASP Mansur Hassan, the Public Relations Officer for the State Police Command, stated that he would reach out to the area for details before providing further comments.

Is it not time to separate this country to atleast 6 countries?

We can't continue like this. Let the North deal with their banditry themselves and not drag the rest of Nigeria perpetually

when they don't get students to kidnap as students are on holidays, they descend on the villagers..

They even have groups with each group controlled by a head..

Kidnapping is a multibillion naira business rn and sadly govt isn't doing enough to break the cartel doing this..

You only hear uproar about State Police everytime students are kidnapped. After that everybody goes to sleep..

The National Assembly are the ones to really sit up and help Nigeria out of this.. make legislations that would bring state police to fruition.. stop waiting for the governors..

Or the President should issue an executive order if they are all not serious..

Nigerians deserve better protection..

At month end, the security agencies of Nigeria are paid salaries, Bandits are paid ransome. Oil money takes cruise.
How could Bandits take all the time to plan, execute their plans and trek with hostages into the bushes without security agencies intercepting them?

Northern bandits are businessmen not terrorists like Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB -Nasir El Rufai the then governor of KADUNA state.

I keep asking this question... When they kidnap villagers who do not really have money what do they expect? Are we sure this is not a deliberate act to disturb the government?
Re: Bandits Invade Angwar Danko In Kaduna, Kidnap Villagers by Yankee101: 9:44am On Apr 18
As long as you keep paying ransoms they’ll keep returning

Set up special operations to eliminate them
Make kidnapping humans a capital offence
