My reference to 1967 was because you made it seems like if there was secession clause in the constitution as at 1967, Biafrans would have left without war. But if the constitution was no longer in use, how does whatever it contain matter? This is my question to you? seanfer: |

The memoirs of David Ejoor exposed how your so-called liberators went about killing , raping and eating SS people in the Midwest Dr. Nabo Graham-Douglas also wrote about the atrocities carried out by both the biafran rogue army and Ibo civilians on hapless minorities trapped under Biafra annexation. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Till then, Igbos will continue to reel from one major disaster to another with the latest being how they have now turned their own SE into a might-is-right terror enclave that cannot be turned around in the foreseable future. Same as how Fulani herders who used to earn pittance are not going back to that anytime soon now they have been armed.with AK47 and making multi-millions kidnapping Nigerians and terrrorising/blackmailing our agricultural sectors. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

GenSpecifics:you're very right, IGBOS expansionist mindset is so terrible. These people actually killed non igbos in their own ancestral land under the cover of the war with the intention to take over their land. Had it been igbos succeeded with their Biafra, they would have wiped out all the minority in the then eastern region. Till date they still claims port Harcourt, delta state and even CALABAR and akwa ibom as Biafra. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Christistruth00: The Ibo coup of Jan 15 was motivated purely to prevent the federal parliament from deliberating and inevitably passing a plebescite for the creation of Calabar-Ogoja- Rivers region out of the blighted old eastern region. The minorities in the old eastern region had had their request for a referendum shot down at Enugu by the Ibo dominated regional parliament. The minorities then sought relieve at the federal level and had gotten commitments from MPs from the northern , western and mid-western region . The matter was the first issue on the docket to be deliberated on resumption from the Christmas break - hence why the timing of the coup being on the 15th of January is critical. Don't be decieved by their foolish reasons for carrying out the coup. The coup was meant to prevent the so-called minorities from getting their own region. This is why Ironsi on advice from Zikist elements rolled out the so-called unification decree to ensure that the newly set up in dictatorship not only control the resources of the Niger Delta but that of the entire nation. The only reason Ojukwu kicked and declared Biafra was after Gowon created states and carved out old Rivers and old Cross River from their blighted eastern region. Note that state creation occured in both the western and northern region but the only people that cried where the Ibos while the minorities breathed an air of relief. Ask them why Ojukwu who was the only military governor under Ironsi welcomed decree 34 but will later kick when Gowon rescinded it and passed decree 8 that was meant to strengthen regions ? The liberation of the annexed Niger Delta and occupied Midwest which Ojukwu declared a sovereign state with a puppet stooge , should have signaled the end of the special police action. But Gowon was lobbied by same Zikist idiots who ochestrated the coup and Biafra agenda to liberate them from their new found tyranny under Ojukwu. Gowon acceded to their demands because he assumed a Nigeria with the Ibos will check the excesses of the northern jihadists who were breathing down the necks of the so-called pagan tribes in the north. They are born liars . 3 Likes 1 Share |

top10villa: Zik did not only block a seccesionist clause to be included in our Constitution at independence but even took his foolishness to the OAU and lobbied and sponsored a charter that will see that all newly independent states and members of the OAU see the colonial borders of each member as sacrosanct. That charter will later come to haunt his own people with hardly any OAU member state supporting Biafra based on Zik's invoibility charter. The idiots kept shooting themselves on the foot. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Christistruth00: The old eastern Nigeria was by far the most politically restive owing to the plights and rights of the minorities being trampled on by the Ibo dominated government. Western Cameroun decided to leave Nigeria citing same Ibo domination at all spheres. The Adaka Boro led revolt was the first seccesionist movement and it cited Ibo arrogance and domination . The minorities had been agitating to leave the eastern region since 1953. Is it any coincidence that Enugu , a once deary coal city located in the remote hinterland of Ibo land will become the fastest growing city ? That was because all resources were being concentrated in developing what I will call the first Abuja at the expense of the minority provinces . The discovery of oil only in the minority provinces only drove these covetous bastards to do the unthinkable . 3 Likes 1 Share |

GenSpecifics: Balewa had just promised the Eastern Minorities a Referendum . That was the real reason he was assassinated It had nothing to do with Corruption. Balewa’s only property was a 2 bedroom bungalow on the outskirts of Bauchi. One of the conditions that the British gave before granting independence was that Referendums must be held for the Minorities of Each Region as soon as possible Balewa and Azikiwe Coalition National Government were very enthusiastic about holding the Western Region Referendum others they dragged their feet until Balewa and Azikiwe fell out with each other, that was when Balewa was serious about giving the Easter Minorities referendum because they saw him as their protector These facts were carefully pinpointed to Ojukwu who just kept brushing it aside until after the FG had captured all the Eastern Minorities Areas that was when Ojukwu was now promising them a referendum only after he had fully lost Control of their Areas. Ojukwu went to Oxford but was very unsmart in dealing with real life Situations Awolowo had deep discussions with Ojukwu in Enugu and came back to tell his People “don’t deceive yourselves, Ojukwu is not interested in peace he wants to Conquer and rule all Southern Nigeria “ Gov David Ejoor of the Midwest said the same thing after meeting with Ojukwu and trying to keep the Midwest neutral In Ojukwu’s letter to Col Banjo he didn’t hide the fact that he wanted to be in full Control of Yorubaland up to Jebba and that was after he had appointed Major Okonkwo as the Governor of the Midwest 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Christistruth00: There is even that lunatic Kanu in one of his radio Biafra rants claiming that "Niger Delta is out territory . We will kill any one who opposes us". At no time have these people ever considered the SS people's position . Their land grabbing and expansionism into the SS has not relented. And we know from their last misadventure on how they went about killing and genociding the minority people . You can also see their ambitions with the way they are the most vocal and zealot supporters of the colonial settlers occupying Palestine. They are totally in support of the Israeli government's genocidal tactics on Gaza . This exposes their snake underbelly. Yet they have the temerity to accuse others of genocide. I don't blame them one bit. 2 Likes 1 Share |

They want to control Lagos, Port Harcourt Calabar,, Warri , Benin at the same time and none of them belongs to them . The Eastern Regiions Oil wells and Oilfields were all already under Ojukwu Not until he invaded the Midwest to seize the Oilfields there as well was he Satisfied Even if you look at the Maps of Biafra they are drawing today they always manage to include all the Oilfields including the ones In Yoruba speaking Itsekiriland in their maps , they often include the ones in Ondo State too And they then call the Yoruba Ilajes , Ijaw Greed!!! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

gidgiddy: Good point. So how was Nigeria created? By the consensus of lawmakers right? So now that it is time to break up, it should also be by the consensus of lawmakers too right? So like I've always said, if your people are ready to leave, they should put sustained pressure on their lawmakers starting from the state house to the national assembly, as well as their governors. Force them to present the issue as a united front. Without this pressure from the bottom-up, nothing will happen. Nobody will break up Nigeria because gidgidy on Nairaland asked for it. 2 Likes |

GenSpecifics: You have been brilliant on this thread highlighting, with erudition and historical facts, the extent of Igbo’s ruthless , murderous and rapacious zeal for fascist colonization, oppression and outright enslavement of others . Even today, it is clear it is the natural hatred they have for not being in control and charge of everything/everyone mainly behind their unrelenting and ridiculously unobjective attacks against the Tinubu government. Only the abolishment of ‘one Nigeria’ will permanently rid Nigeria of the menace of Igbos stemming from their genetic obsession with dominating and enslaving others as if a messianic ethnic group or master race. Hitler is an apprentice of lunatic ethno-racial supremacist chauvinism and posturing in comparison to Igbos 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Remember how a group of northern elders took the FG to court to begin your final expulsion ? The poster you are replying to is telling you to make use of constitutional machineries to begin your exit. It's that simple. Is anyone in Kano or Lagos or Benin going to disrupt your state assembly proceedings ? gidgiddy: Who is you guys and who do we not get along with? Lol. Why revert back to Luagard? What does that have to do with this subject good sir? You made a point, when responding to someone who said Azikiwe was culpable for creating a Constitution that doesn't allow secession, and your point was that secession should not be limited by the Constitution since we created the same Constitution based on an agreement. Now, I'm telling you that such an agreement can also be made now, provided that those who want to leave bring forth their case meaningfully. And that is by presenting a bill for debate in the legislative houses. It is laughable that you are not willing to do the bare minimum of compelling your elected officials to initiate the conversation. Instead you are now throwing it back to the other side to start the conversation for you. Are you even serious or you just enjoy the idea of complaining? Because what you are now saying with one mouth is that I want to leave your house but I want you to be the one to ask me to leave. No sir, you are definitely not sincere in your quest for secession. You merely love the fact that you have something to complain about. 2 Likes |
