It's a feature (not bug) that most Americans are priced out of the housing market because of multi decade upticks of inflation. The situation is the same here in Nigeria - during the peak of our fathers, it's a common thing for under 30s to have a stable job, a family, a car; in America, very common for mid aged men to have their own houses. What we have now is devastating. In America, the majority of them will never be able to afford a decent sized home; here, late 30s are still hustling and pushing plans to start a family back year after year.
