Why should he build new schools just for building sake? Anambra state is not like other states that lack development.
It's like saying why are American and European states not building new schools?
They have settled that one long ago. I believe all these attack is just to distract people from the issues facing this country.

He presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has responded to the question that he did not build a single new school when he was Governor of Anambra State.


A popular social media personality, Reno Omokri, had last week hit out at Obi, challenging the the former Anambra State Governor and his followers to show a single school he started and finished in his eight years as governor.

Reno promised to reward handsomely, anyone that could show a school built by Obi.


And responding to this during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Obi said those who said that failed to avail themselves of his manifesto.

He said that when he came to Anambra State, education was in shambles, schools were closed and the state was number 26 in the country but by the time he left, Anambra was number one in the state.

“I improved the quality, physical and mental well-being of the people, schools, had the basic things they needed and the people shone like stars and that was my manifesto.


“Building new schools when the old ones are moribund is just like building coastal lines when internal roads are impassable.”

You can build new schools and renovate preexisting one at the same time. Obi brain is not fully formed.

Nigeria population keep growing. If all previous governors since 1999 fail to build new schools, how will the growing population have conducive classroom to attend classes?

No law says you can’t build new schools and renovate pre-existing one simultaneously.

Asking if Peter obi build school is a dumb attempt to distract Nigerians, I am surprise some of you actually took the bait, naira is crumbling back to 1500, cost of food items are still high, Inflation is on the rise, purchasing power declining faster, Nigeria is now the fourth largest economy in Africa, foreign reserve depleted, insecurity and so many other negative indices are facing the nation, but if Peter obi build a school while he was governor over 10 years ago l should be our concern abi

If I wasn't in Anambra when all these things were going on, I would have doubt it too. This is also the same reason you can never see me criticise Obi during his tenure.

Everywhere was secured, power supply was high , it was Obi that started Anambra rice cultivation , it was during Obi s time that isaw Anambra home grown tomatoes for the first time. Anambra had the best road network in Nigeria during Obi's tenure .

This was a man that came when Anambra was hugely indebted with god father's here and there. Obi cleared the debt and still left so much money in the coffers..

Why should he build new school? Is it not mediocrity to be asking if he built any school in this present time? The ideal thing is to renovate old buildings.
Maybe in your state that lacks schools, then the best thing is to build new ones.
Focus on the issues being faced by the country presently and not a private citizen doing he's normal business.
That is how people were just talking nonsense and distracting the masses from the low quality style of governance in the last administration.
Anambra state is very advance and it does not have godfather who press adults brains to think, because they can't think for themselves.
