Experience is the best teacher! When you've zero knowledge about something, no matter the explanation you get you won't understand. Please try and join the Army and go to NE to see reality
Dafresh:

Maybe you mistake BLA as your usual Army

Armed bandits or terrorists?

You can call them anything

No. You see, my friend, identification determines dealing. Banditry is not a serious headache and no international body cares so much about bandits because the government can crush them within days, but terrorism is a harder thing to fight. The only language terrorists understand is mass decimation. Buhari, Elrufai, and co-fulanisationists who brought them in and are facilitating their activities ensured that the media and the whole Nigeria see them as bandits rather than terrorists, because they know the implications for the demons of death and themselves. However, Nigerians who don't know and and wouldn't learn think it is all the same. Just what the enemies want them to do until the aims and objectives of ushering the terrorists in are achieved. UK, US, and others don't fly on that, and they can tell a terrorist when they see one. But people here just say bandits, bandits, ban...as if we were programmable AIs.

Fulani has taken robbery and kidnapping as a hobby in Nigeria, even the military is aware of that.

This is issue with the army.... Terrain doesn't support use of mechanized vehicles..... Utilization of air support is too costly since it can be shot down.... Nigeria army needs to make use howitzers to bombard positions of these terrorist after which the air support can go for clearing...... It's a shame we can't learn from executive outcomes the private military group that decimated boko HARAM
Really tell us more

Yes snipers can protect troop even from behind....they have scopes which can sight enemies from a far.
If a sniper is left hidden under some grasses even a kilometer away from that abandoned armoured car he can takes out all those lousy terrorists.
