If you want the USD to grow in Nigeria, ban all Nigeria-based businesses from asking for payments in USD. If they won't accept naira from Nigerians, pack up and leave.

Then, criminalise and punish those seen with foreign currency in this country. People who are paid in foreign currency can sell their USD as digital currency and not carry the physical cash.

Unfortunately, this cannot happen here because politicians and their friends are the first set of culprits. When you see the government folks chasing Binance and AbokiFX up and down, they are just looking for ways to distract Nigerians - they know this.

I remember shouting my lungs out that these thing should not be left to CBN alone.. the fiscal people should come hard with their own policies too to help the Naira..

they should be seen engaging in productive activities, supporting the private sectors and industries, MSMEs, discouraging oil theft, drive up ease-of-doing business, know what is happening in the mining sector, revamp the steel sector...

these are the real sectors that would drive up growth and contribute to GDP.. but no, everyone is just busy doing nothing, waiting for oil money..

When you invest in a volatile market and the general manager of the market says that he would do nothing to protect your investment,you would get worried and pull out because the assumption all along was that Nigeria is doing a managed flotation.
I do pity Nigerian children but the adults deserve all the suffering they get,they are greedy, selfish, callous self inflated retards who pretends to be intelligent.
One million to one dollar might get some sense into their vacuous heads. Let's pray for that.

This is same shyt as binance thingy...all these guys aren't really d main issue. The government simply refused or do not have the balls to do the right thing!... As long as the basics aren't solved. more export, more dollar supply & swift judgement on corrupt officials & politicians converting looted funds to $$$. Nothing much would change.

Those people accepting dollars for services are doing so because the trust in naira is mostly lost.
