GWR: Ghanaian activist sets new world record by hugging 1,123 trees in 1 hour

Ultimately, by hugging 1,123 trees in one hour, a Ghanaian environmental activist known only as Abubakar Tahiru broke the previous record.

The activist is from Ghana; she started this record to raise awareness of environmental issues. He was up in an agricultural village in the town of Tepa.

Alabama, a state rich in timber, has four national forests, including Tuskegee National Forest, where Abubakar attempted to set a record. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to the environmental activist, he developed a keen interest in nature and its conservation due to the area he grew up in.
