Mercy Johnson Okojie, popularly known as Mercy Johnson for short, was born on August 28, 1984. She is a Nigerian actress,  film director, and producer. Mercy Johnson had her primary school education in Cross Rivers State and thereafter, she attended the Nigerian Naval Secondary School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State for her secondary school education.  

Meanwhile, after completing her basic education, she auditioned for a role in the movie titled The Maid which was just a glimpse of how talented she is.  She subsequently featured in other movies including Hustlers, Baby Oku in America, and War in the Palace which all gave her positive acclaim and recognition as one of Nigeria's talented actresses and filmmakers.
