Let me break this down what the minister is saying here.

1. Nigeria is not rich enough to sponsor its own power requirement

2. Investors are needed but they won't come because electricity tariff are too cheap hence they won't make money.

3. Tariff was increased ×3 for some users who enjoy 20hrs of light per day. With more money coming to DISCOS investors are begining to show interest.

4. That does not mean FG is sitting down waiting for investors. Power generating plants are still being built

which power generating plants are being built? how have all the previous tariff increases led to improved power supply? how will increasing tariff for some users 3 times improve power supply?

The question is how did we get here as a nation that just couldn't power herself out of darkness?

Yet, we are wasting so much money on the political class that we cannot afford their statutory cost, not to talk about the cost of their corruption.

Abacha and ibb looted us here. We are just paying the price of the actions from foolish men

the minister is confused. The solution is simple give it to the state government. Let each state government grant licence to generate and distribute light.( U can generate from food waste, in pipe water energy, then for gas state can have their gas energy station in state where gas dey.) U see overnight light matter will be solved. Bythe way the light Nigeria is selling to neighbouring nations where is it coming from

Corruption and Incompetence

This statement has corruption and Incompetence written all over it. In some countries like the US and UK to be precise a comment like this enough for you to be forced to resign because it simply show you don't know what you are doing and how can they know when most of our Ministers are political rewards for support so they mostly go in there with a mindset of looting as a their reward for a work well done while campaigning

You require $10b so that you can conveniently steal $7b ?! Werey!
You guys refuse to allow everyone generate , transmit and distribute their electricity, yet you determine the cost and difficulty involved in giving Nigerians power. You are the judge and jury in your own trial

That's ridiculous

It's obvious this minister came to loot. No plans whatsoever

Ask him, the short term goal, mid term and long term goals and see him shivering but he can mention liquidity everywhere with no substantial value attached to it.

Foolish minister.
Person may e dey eye Oyo state government house

Most ministers always try to amass wealth so as to pursue their governorship ambition

What are you reviving there since we have been spending billions upon billions no improvement. Am sure Tanzania didn't spend a quarter of what we have spent in Nigeria before they have excess 4,000 kw energy reserve. Too much deception in our country . If you people should continue like this ,there will be no future for your children .

This man is just too clueless, the criteria for appointing people in such capacity I don't know,I wish he knew how people in same capacity elsewhere view his statement as a minister.
