Amid mounting dissatisfaction with DSTV’s steep subscription fees, Nigerians are turning to SLTV in droves, marking a significant shift in the country’s television landscape.

The online outcry against DSTV gained traction when Mike Igozino voiced his frustration, announcing his switch to SLTV and condemning DSTV’s exploitation of hard-earned income. His sentiments resonated widely, sparking a wave of support for SLTV as a more economical option for premium entertainment.

“I can watch all Premier League, Champions League, Italian and Spanish leagues with just #5K monthly?! And DSTV collects 23,800 from me monthly… Nigerians, shine your eyes, DSTV came to steal from us,” declared Igozino, encapsulating the sentiment of many disillusioned consumers.

Jennifer Chioma Owolabi echoed the sentiment, expressing her eagerness to explore SLTV as a viable alternative to DSTV. She sought insights into SLTV’s offerings beyond sports channels, highlighting the growing interest in diversifying entertainment options.

Responding to the demand for affordable alternatives, MetroDigital SLTV, the company behind SLTV, emphasized its commitment to providing quality entertainment at accessible prices. With a focus on live football coverage and a range of entertainment channels including news, movies, and documentaries, SLTV offers a compelling alternative to DSTV.

“We understand times are hard but with MetroDigital SLTV, you can still enjoy live football across your favorite leagues like the Premier League, Spanish, Italian, and others. You can also get the best of news, movies, documentaries, and other premium entertainment without putting holes in your pocket,” stated MetroDigital SLTV.

Highlighting the importance of supporting Nigerian businesses, Ejiofor Nwachukwu Agada emphasized that SLTV, owned by Dr. Ifeanyi Nwafor of Metrodigital Ltd., offers a homegrown solution to the country’s entertainment needs. With its rapidly growing subscriber base and diverse channel lineup, SLTV represents a promising alternative for Nigerian consumers seeking affordable and quality entertainment options.

As the online boycott of DSTV gains momentum and interest in SLTV surges, the Nigerian television industry is witnessing a seismic shift, driven by consumer demand for fairness, affordability, and choice.

Nice development.Let all Nigerians gradually move to that SLTV and see how the parasitic GOTV and DSTV would pack up and exit Nigeria.

Nigerians should rally against pressing public issues and not what a private company charges.
