In continuation of the thier protest across the Country, Nigerian youths from the North Central region, operating under the banner of the North Central Progressive Voice, in conjunction with Middle Belt Forum for Good Governance converged in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, to voice their grievances against what they perceive as an abuse of the rule of law by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The group, which represents various communities across the North Central states, called for immediate intervention from President Bola Tinubu concerning the recent actions of the EFCC towards former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and other individuals.

In a world press conference held In Makurdi Wednesday 1st of May , 2024, at the Benue State capital, the group's spokesperson Dr. Adole Samson Esq, passionately addressed the media, denouncing the EFCC's raid on Alhaji Yahaya Bello's residence in Abuja. Urging President Tinubu to rein in the EFCC, Dr Adole emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and preventing any potential national embarrassment stemming from the ongoing face of between the Immediate Past Governor of Kogi State and EFCC.
