Agulu Obama and his nonsense rhetorics.
When President Shehu Shagari conceptualised the 3rd Mainland Bridge in 1976, a lot of people called it a white elephant project. They said Lagos had 2 existing bridges - Carter and Eko Bridge. A third bridge was unnecessary. Victoria Island was partially developed, and if at all a bridge was needed, it should end at Ebute-Metta.

Nigeria was going through a tougher time with back to back military coups, structural adjustment programs, etc. Shagari continued with the project and IBB despite all the challenges completed it and extended the bridge from Ebute Metta to Oworoshoki. Today, Lagos state can barely survive without the 3rd Mainland Bridge, and everyone is now clamouring for a 4th Mainland Bridge.

When Gen Abacha started the construction of NLNG in 1995, Nigeria could be likened to hell. Cancelled elections, interim government, truncated democracy, and foreign sanctions, Nigerians were cooking with sawdust stoves. There was no food to eat, and universities were shut down. Today, NLNG has paid over $18bn to the FG as dividends.

When PBAT envisioned the Lekki Free Trade Zone, the deep sea port, Red and Blue rail lines in 2003, people thought he was bluffing. Today, the free trade zone houses the biggest refinery in the world and arguably the most important asset to our economy. The Lekki deep sea port will generate more than 50% of Nigeria's GDP.

Agulu Obama lacks vision. A completely shallow mind who can't see beyond his nostrils. 8 years as governor with zero legacies now turned Twitter influencer.

Was Shehu Shagari the president of Nigeria in 1976?

1) While you guys are here justifying nonsense, Thiefņubu has already transferred about #1 Trillion to Gilbert Chagouri's Hitech.

2) They lied to us initially that HITECH would finance the project.

3) The choice of HITECH as the preferred contractor did not go through competitive bidding.

We already have East-West road uncompleted. Nigeria's debt is at all-time high of over 80b Dollars. A Dollar currently exchanges for #1,450. Inflation is skyrocketing. Over 110m Nigerians are living below poverty level.

Pandora is a visionless and clueless politician

The third mainland bridge construction started under Gowon though a lot of people were calling it a waste of money

Any one who is against what Peter Obi said are likely corrupt people. The same Umahi refused to listen to the sense of reason and defended the construction of the Airport that is more in use by animals than humans now.

Just days ago, an already existing East-West road saw lives and properties wasted in a fire due to lack of maintenance of that road. The Rivers State Government visited...then what? The road is still as is.

Obi said insecurity and poverty are of a higher priority than the stupid road project, which is true. Are the sufferings of the masses not increasing day on day? Have people not been kidnapped 'easily' on existing roads? What will make this one different?

Posterity will remember Obi for always being there to speak common sense to APC bunch of misfits. So far, every cosmetic measure he warned against has turned out to be true, most recently, the dollar-padding as a way to force its value down.

Your hatred for SS is now obvious to even the blind.

When Akpabio was contesting among his peers in the Senate to be SP, your Ibo Senators led by Orji Uzor Kalu rallied behind his main opponent a northerner senator .

Orji Uzor Kalu and his ilk were looking for Deputy Senate position under a northern Senate President candidate.

In a campaign speech he (Kalu) made on the floor of the red chamber , Kalu went on a rant regurgitating every northern hawk position on why Yari from the north should be Senate President and not Akpabio. Part of his directed campaign point to northern senators was his (Kalu) intention to see to the scrapping of both the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the Niger Delta Development Comission which he described as both "wasteful and duplicating in functions. Orji and his band of Ibo senators were willing to play the Judas role to the SS and by extension south in return to be second fiddle to the north.

When Tinubu nominated and appointed Wike as Minister for the FCT, it was same Ibo politicians , Senators and their plebs that condemned his appointment by claiming that the position of minister for the FCT was an exclusive position reserved for northerners. This is despite the SS which Wike comes from having contributed by far the largest resources in developing Abuja from scratch. To these people , the appointment must go to at least an Abuja indigene and not Wike. They suddenly remembered to clamour on behalf of the indigenes of Abuja to be appointed minister when Tinubu appointed Wike a SS national to the position.

When Buhari was constructing rail line worth billions to Niger , they didn't make as much noise as they are doing now for a project that will transverse Nigeria's coastal states and open up much valuable coastal real estates and communities to trade and industry.

When Rivers and Lagos secured a landmark VAT ruling transfering collection powers from federal to stare agencies, they sided with the north against the South and demanded for a reversal in that court decision.

When Obasanjo was pushing for 25% payment of oil revenue to oil producing states , their legislators hid under Obasanjo's third term agenda and sided with the north to kill the proposed bill. So much for southern solidarity .

What of the onshore/offshore dichotomy regarding who owns Nigeria's coastal waters and her resources ? They sided with same north. The onshore /offshore dichotomy was a needless political debate sponsored by northern hawks in the Senate to deny SS states revenue from offshore oil and gas wells. It took a legal court ruling to determine that coastal states had a right to partake in the 13% oil and gas revenue. Without that ruling , states like Akwa Ibom whose major wealth is located on offshore fields won't be what it is today.

What of the Petroluem Industrialization Bill they connived with the north to water down to nonesense?

I keep saying it that the greatest enemies of the SS people is not the north but the literal judases to the SE who have been doing everything to undermine the SS people since 1953.
