@bk.babe97y. As you can see yourself, those comments were specific responses to your type of sick, bigoted hypocritic debased animals who were running their ape mouths and polluting a thread with their putrid feaces of bigotry because i needed to shut them up and put them in their place. Unlike sick bigoted cretins like you and your fellow psychopaths, i will never ever willfully without any provocation insult any ethnic group in any thread. I only respond to specific provocations by dirty lowlifes like you, because as you and your fellow sick idiots should know, nobody has a monopoly of insults. Your bigoted comments in this particular thread without any provocation is proof and a typical example of your sick guts. You came into a thread discussing nigeria's chances of development and the next thing you launch into tribal insults without any provocation from anyone. That is the greatest evidence that you are definitely a sick psychopath who spend all your day disgorging your hate infested bile. Life is too short and there are better things to do with your life, but you choose to be a demonic agent of darkness polluting every thread you show up in with your sadism. I can only wonder how a tormented witch like you will look in real life. You must be a typically very ugly and dirty looser with stinking pits. People like you make me and all the decent folks in nairaland want to throw-up. Your dirty habit pukes big time. You are a disgrace to humanity. Since you are an economic refugee in the USA i pray the racist folks in Ku Klux Klan cut off your miserable head and send you to an early grave. The world and humanity will be better off without primitive apes and debased psychopaths like you. |

*yawns* Is Nigeria a country? Of murderous neigbours, and treacherous 'intelligentsia'? I thought Awolowo said it was a geographical expression? When did it become a country, let alone started aspiring to develop? Over 50 million of the population would rather not call her home; abeg split the darn thing already biko! |
Re: Can Nigeria Become A Developed Country? by gijaney: 4:48am On Nov 23, 2011 |
i think some people on here need to learn the definition of terms before they use them. Nigeria is now and will always be a 3rd world country, no country has ever gone from a third world to a first world country ever and never will. third world is not the same as developing, first world is not the same as developed. Greenland is a developed country and is also a third world country. the rankings of first second and third world countries are left overs from the cold war. first world was your allied western countries, second world your communist countries and third world was your neutral countries. most developing counties were neutral during this time period. |

nice one @gijaney. Pls @op dnt insult china wit dat status of developin economy, they are nw termed developed. Not only dat, d u.s nw recognize china as a world power. China is d largest exporter besides Germany nd av long bid us bye in dat category. As 4 nigeria, we are nt ready! Going by d present growth rate, if it remains steady it wil take us 200yrs. By then, we shuld av d industries expanding through export and we'l nt depend too much on foreign guds, tight infrastructure(roads, power, modern sea nd airport, gud rail system nd basic social amenties lyk water) to support d economy. But we can be developd in 50yrs if radical change is made in govt and, d country is turnd to a massive constructn site cos we need infrastructure in place b4 our economy attains development. |

We are too tribalistic and this is causing retarded growth in the nation. Split the country into as many common languages as we have and the results will show. |

Nigeria can develop. But our input as citizens of Nigeria is very important if Nigeria must become a developed country. So let us all ask ourselves what is it that I can contribute to make Nigeria a developed country. We must start doing something positive for posterity and the future generation of Nigerians. please join me on Naijabizcom facebook fanpage and some other Nigerians so we can share ideas that will take us forward as individuals and Nigeria at large. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/NaijaBizCom/124173330965109 |

Unless we practice a form of meritocracy, this country is doomed. Majority of those 'supposedly democratically elected' have got no inkling what to do as a representative of the people they represent Rather, most are awaiting for an opportunity to squander and pillage the country's coffers. |

@bk.babe97y: I am not surprised that you are also a liar. A typical sick pig like you can only thrive on lies to try to mask your guilt. That is why you can so shamelessly claim that i deleted my comments because you want to put me in your boat of wacko psychopaths. But you forget that nairaland has an admin who can confirm that i have never ever deleted my comments. Besides i have just checked and it is not even possible to delete published comments. So i am sorry to dissapoint you, but i am not in the same boat of primitive apes like you. Your unprovoked tribal nuisance on this forum and in this particular thread is proof that you are quite simply a sick cretin. You are the scum of the earth. A disgrace to everything that decency and mankind represents. You puke to the extent that i want to throw up. You need help! Go and seek help, see a psychiatric doctor to get treatment for your madness, so that you can do better things with your miserable hate infested life! |

Re: Can Nigeria Become A Developed Country? by Kanto: 7:50pm On Nov 23, 2011 |
Back to the topic. The simple reason for nigeria's lack of development is corruption. A very corrupt nation can never develop because the resources for development are stolen. Because of corruption there are no roads, no electricity, no railway, no functional schools to train skilled people etc etc and without these basic stuff a nation cannot develop. Nigeria has had an oil boom in the last 12 years of democracy which ordinarily would have made it possible to build all the neccesary infrastructure and provide social services that would in turn spur growth and bring the nation on the road to development, but there is practically nothing on the ground because the money has quite simply been stolen by supposedly elected executive robbers masquerading as leaders starting from Obasanjo's administration in 1999. Except corruption is tackled, nigeria already a failed state will collapse in due course. In China, corrupt government officials are executed. Nigeria will need to adopt the chinese model by executing corrupt government officials if we are serious about ending or seriously reducing corruption. Once corruption is tackled, there will be more than enough money to make the whole nation a construction yard by rapidly building infrastructure, provide social services and in less than 10 years nigeria will be on the road to serious development. But as we all know, nigerian corruption is sustained by tribalism. It remains to be seen if the primitive tribalists like some of the sick idiots we see on this forum will let any radical move to eradicate corruption succeed. |
