kedeojo:Are you aware a large part of that project was world Bank funded project? Where Oshio baba for see that kind money? He was such a lucky governor cos that fund came when he was governor. Another thing is, ishio baba was a workaholic and a man of the masses. You need to give him that credit. The apc guber candidate will be worse than obaseki, if given that chance and I know edo no be lagos truly. |

Akpita: Obaseki has done a lot roads in Benin city. Instead of the Senator to go to Ekpoma axis of Benin Auchi road which is the constituency he represents at the national assembly, he came to a road that has already been tarred in GRA but was flooded due to blockage of drainage or water channel. A road that his SUV could not pass, an Audi seamlessly drove passed that same road in his video. APC keeps scoring own goal like Harry Maguire of Man United. |

BENIN City has not recovered from the heavy downpour of the 'heavenly' rains yesterday. All the major streets were flooded including the 'almighty' GRA. How did we get here? If this kind of rains continue, GRA,UGBOR, IKPOBA HILL,SILUKO,EKEHUAN AREAS just to mention a few will be submerged. Oshiomhole started the water stomp project to eradicate or mitigate against this perennial environmental problem but the Govt of 'Mr. Techno' sacrificed it on the altar of politics. This is very sad and painful to see how people lose their life and homes . 2 Likes |

Iyamu4:Between PDP and APC every sane Nigeria knows that PDP has performed better than APC in all aspects. Now to Edo state, apart from the fact that Obaseki has since beaten Oshiomholes records in terms of achievement? PDP has the best qualified candidate in person of Asue Ighodalo. APC decided to produce a mediocre who wrote WAEC at the age of 36 at a miracle centre and still managed to pass. LP is not in contention at all in this election. Olumide Akpata is only trying to reduce the Bini votes that's all. So don't sit in one place and be typing what you don't know. Come to the streets of Benin and hear what people have to say. Asue Ighodalo's candidacy is spreading like wold fire. The man is going from street to street engaging people everyday. You can't meet him or listen to him without falling in love with home except if of course you are a witch or wizard. |

The way some people reason here is troubling. Oshiomole did a full assessment of the storm water project and collected 30 billion from the world bank only to abandon the same project and many want Obaseki to complete the project. 1 Like 1 Share |

Obaseki came in as an APC governor and was supposed to complete the project. That said, I find it alarming to tow the part of propaganda for an election that is very close by. No manifesto yet. This is the first time I'm seeing his face unlike the other two that I've seen and listened to. Seems he's banking on his party's shenanigans to win the election |

Re: Edo: Video Of Flooded GRA Road Exposes Okpebholo Lack Of Understanding - NDRN by kedeojo(m): 4:58pm On May 17 |
southsouthking:Is government not longer continuation again, obaseki abandoned the storm project that oshiomole started in his second tenure. Obaseki is a failure and abandoning a laudable project that we all see the effect during raining season in places like ugbowo, abi can you denied that cos the underground drainages have all been covered by weed. Imagine a Benin man stoping project that will benefit his people majorly and the rest of us also. Prior to the storm project, many houses were at Verge of collapsing and many people abandoned their houses. Don't play politics with fact. |
Re: Edo: Video Of Flooded GRA Road Exposes Okpebholo Lack Of Understanding - NDRN by southsouthking(m): 5:01pm On May 17 |
kedeojo: Why didn't oshiomole finish the job he'd collected the money for? What did oshiomole do with such huge amount of money? |
Re: Edo: Video Of Flooded GRA Road Exposes Okpebholo Lack Of Understanding - NDRN by kedeojo(m): 5:12pm On May 17 |
ehissi:since you know about 19th street, then you should know how the ugbowo major road look like before oshiomole intervention, even thou it was a federal road but it was inside the design of the Benin water storm project. So about you question about the 19th street do in bad shape then, but not in the design because the project is to tame flood prone area and channel does flood from the city center. Obaseki said the amount was much and that was the reason he gave, but why did he not review the contract and use the amount he felt will complete the project. Only fools trow baby with the bath water. |
Re: Edo: Video Of Flooded GRA Road Exposes Okpebholo Lack Of Understanding - NDRN by kedeojo(m): 5:20pm On May 17 |
southsouthking:have you been to teachers house if no then I don't need to bother myself since is obvious you are from edo. A project he started in his second tenure and Obaseki was the chairman of the state economic team and later succeed him, so you mean obaseki was not aware about it. Let him come out and tell edo people if the money budgeted for it was diverted by oshiomole. |

kedeojo:APC is dead on arrival in Benin city. Any good candidate can come from other political platforms apart from APC. The sins from Tinubu and gandollar will always be remembered in Edo. Edo nor be Lagos. APC nor be Edo. Edolites have a choice between LP and PDP. APC died with oshiomohle |

Dronedude: In the books , it’s is written as completed . You want the governor to ask assembly members to approve funds for a project already completed in the books ? Seems you are new to Nigeria |
Re: Edo: Video Of Flooded GRA Road Exposes Okpebholo Lack Of Understanding - NDRN by vowiski(m): 6:26pm On May 17 |
Jeje247: He should complete the project with your anus ? where is the money? 30 billion loan 8 years ago is over 100 billion now with interest. You want the governor to seek another loan for a project that is already marked as complete in government house ? You don’t know how rotten this country is sha |
Re: Edo: Video Of Flooded GRA Road Exposes Okpebholo Lack Of Understanding - NDRN by Jeje247: 6:35pm On May 17 |
vowiski:Except it was deemed completed, the new government should have ordered the contractors for a meeting to see the payment schedule and seek solutions mutually while blowing his whistle and service notice to media houses and security agents about the fraud. Silence is complicity. |
