It's fees for the embankment , cemetery, grave diggers and government taxes. It's not for party , merriment or community/age grade taxes.

Oyibo and data. I like how they use data to analyse everything. Once you don't want to do anything or reason for doing it, it would be noted and at the end, responses and data are analysed. Thousands of unclaimed corpses are littered in Nigeria morgues without their kith and kin knowing where their loved ones are. There are thousands of unidentified corpses brought by police and security agencies.

Where the soul goes is the most important, even if something happens to the body or it's not properly buried.
Even in death, there has to be a decent internment for the physical body in any event.

Cremation would have been an option for these folks in the absence of disposable income to take care of the funeral of their loved ones who have passed on.

These guys can't just be piling up debts at the morgue. In any event, folks worldwide have to start looking at 2 to 3 days period for burying their loved ones and at a cheaper cost. Period.

Vaults and Gardens takes the gold medal here in terms of cost... But then again, there's a niche market for that.

Besides, there's limited land space in Lagos State for newer burial sites.
