…Why She’s After Dorcas Adeyinka

It’s no longer news that UK-based blogger, Dorcas Adeyinka, was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force penultimate Sunday.
The police, in their submission had cited cyberstalking, murder and other charges as some of the crimes allegedly committed by Dorcas.

However, insiders have insisted that nothing could be farther from the truth. They revealed that the mastermind behind Dorcas’ travails is no other person than Morounranti Ashabi Fashola. She is the younger sister of former Lagos State governor and the immediate past minister of works and housing. She is also a cultural enthusiast and had served as a Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Inter-Governmental Relations during her brother’s administration.

The sources alleged that Morounranti is forcibly using her connection with the police to harass Dorcas in a matter which she has no reason to be involved in.

According to insiders, there is more to this Dorcas versus Nigeria Police case than meets the eye.

“It’s a lie, Dorcas didn’t commit any of such crimes. We all know the fingers behind the police declaration to be that of Morounranti Ashabi Fashola, who is supporting her friend, Tolulope Adeoye aka Abike Jagaban,” a reliable source revealed.

Morounranti Ashabi reportedly shares an intimate closeness with Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi.

“Adejobi is said to have engineered the arrest of the UK-based blogger in December 2023 and the recent Gazette released by the Nigeria police. What crime did Dorcas commit that would’ve have warranted the police to declare her wanted? Morounranti Ashabi must have been prodded by Abike Jagaban, who has always been against Dorcas due to their fracas on Facebook. Why should a respectable lady like Morounranti Ashabi allow herself to be manipulated by Abike Jagaban, a notorious social media bully, to use her to harass an innocent citizen?

“That Ashabi is very close to PPRO Adejobi doesn’t mean that she would be employing that avenue to harass and intimidate innocent citizens. It’s also laughable that the police are saying Dorcas jumped bail,” the sources added.

Meanwhile, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the lawyer representing Dorcas Adeyinka, has faulted the public declaration by the Nigeria Police Force that his client is wanted over “phantom allegations.”

The lawyer said the matter is in court and the police cannot declare someone whose case is in court wanted and who isn’t a flight risk.
Olajengbesi said Adeyinka is a law-abiding citizen who was recently decorated with a chieftaincy title.

Innocent people fears no allegations. If what you said about Dorcas is right? let her report to the police, no need of manipulating the media and spreading false news about innocent people.
