Kushites:

Burkina Faso Income Per Capita is $670 a year, while Nigeriaโ€™s is $3000 a year.

Burkina Fasoโ€™s minimum wage is only an official figure that pertains to the tiny few who actually get paid a formal salary, with over 80% of the country in the informal economy, mostly subsistence farmers.

Access to Electricity in Burkina Faso is 21% of the population.

In Nigeria it is 65%.

Trust me, you could not survive 2 weeks in Burkina Faso.

Do you know in Burkina Faso, laid off workers are entitled to 3 years pay if disengaged? It is madness.

The vast majority who work in the formal sector are government workers. I am certain Traore has done absolutely nothing about it

I detest people like this Traore. People sadly like an "action man."

Paul Kagame who runs government by using the best technocrats is what's needed.

TO add, Burkina lives on cotton...which is not earning enough cash right now.

America is the world leader in cotton production. And it overproduces cotton, and....that depresses cotton prices...and...the US pays its cotton farmers subsides to prevent a collapse....which depresses international cotton prices more.

NIgeria and Burkina need to diversify. Even that our gdp is a mess. But Burkina makes ours look bountiful...when it isn;t.

I thought with the rise of China, America's cotton production had stopped adversely affecting the price. It seems I was mistaken.

So China's voracious demand for cotton over the past 20 years wasn't enough to lift the market?

A coup plotter is better than your democratic president.
