The security vote money allocated to governors is more like a miscellaneous money with no details attached to it. It's a kind of money spent on frivolities. No records, nothing backed by law and so corruption can't be said to be occurring.

State has no such power to finance the military in any form.

The worst cretin to rule Nigeria is Thièfnubu. Does he feel compassionate about all what vulnerable Nigerians are going through?

Just yesterday, there was an attack that killed 40 Nigerians. I mean 40 Nigerians just like that and everyone and everywhere is quiet like nothing happened?

You don't even see the President on condolence visit to the affected people nor providing assurances and solutions through public engagements over this issues.

It's quite embarrassing.

U voted him
Don't complain

State has no such power to finance the military in any form.

Every State governor has been doing such in different ways not only to the military.
Even the NPF benefits from such largese of security vote. That is why the States needs to commence their own State Police so that they can fund them properly while the FG takes care of that which is theirs.

Then it is wrong. Security is not all about police and army. These two are under federal government for now.

Community policing is what state should fund.

Good one from the Kebbi state Governor but he must see to it that the security men keep to their expected security target

That is why it is now a good thing that a greater number of the States have now agreed to State Police and with that they will put such monies for it's finding.
We also look forward to same being done by the Local Government Areas, there they can have the so called Community Police.

Is giving military N500m monthly a legal act? I believe FG is the one responsible for that. You can't have a good security situation because giving some people as high as N500m monthly when you don't have to must have corrupted them. For that money to keep coming I would cause insecurity if I'm a major beneficiary of such money. Una don murder sleep

Better to provide them with security amenities
