I feel you don't understand what's happening in that land. Up till last year, it was the Palestinians who refused a two state solution. The Palestinians had always had the opportunity to have an independent state but the refused it.
Israel will readily accept a two state solution as long as their peace and safety is guaranteed.
Note, it was only after October 07 that Israel suspended any plans for a two states solution.
