Tribunal Affirms Gov Uzodinma As Duly Elected, Dismisses LP/Achonu's Petition by fergie001: 3:23pm On May 24

The Imo State Governorship tribunal sitting in Abuja has affirmed the election of Hope Uzodinma as the authentic governor of Imo State.

In an unanimous judgment delivered by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, the three-man panel of the tribunal held that the election of Hope Uzodinma as the governor of the state complied with the provisions of the electoral act, 2022.

The tribunal further held that the Labour Party in its petition failed to prove the allegation of over voting and non compliance as alleged.

Governor Hope Uzodimma was declared winner of the election with a total of 540,308 votes.

His closest challengers were Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the PDP who came second with 71, 503 votes followed by the Labour Party, candidate Senator Athan Achonu who came third polling 64,081 votes

Both candidates and the others proceeded to the tribunal to argue that Uzodimma did not score the majority of winning votes as announced by INEC.

Could we have expected any other verdict than this? I really wonder why some people go to the court owned and controlled by your opponent. Your opponent decides the referee in a game and you expect Victory.
Nigeria politicians can only be taken to the court of the Almighty God. Anything aside that na injustice and wuruwuru plus kangaroo judgement.

He went to court?
I read somewhere LP stakeholders in Imo State were not happy how Abure sold the ticket to him, as the highest bidder. This could be one of the places Abure soiled the integrity of Labour Party (after Obi joined the party).
People in Imo, how true is it?

It's very unfortunate that God hasn't answered that prayer. If not how on earth will a Nigerian youth spewing this rubbish supporting leaders who rigged themselves to power? Would you say Ododo got real votes, how about Fubara? How about Hope Uzodimma?

An election where voters were held indoors by government gunmen. Judiciary wanted proof of that. It's like something from the lands of the pygmies. Buhari's Judiciary put Imo state into one chance bus.
