The National Security Adviser's office has strongly refuted claims that Nuhu Ribadu, the NSA, played a role in facilitating the return of the dethroned Emir of Kano, Aminu Bayero, to the city on Saturday.

Deputy Governor Aminu Abdulsalam of Kano State had accused Ribadu of providing two aircraft for Bayero's early morning return to Kano at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, alleging that the NSA supplied the jets for this purpose.

However, the NSA's office spokesperson, Zakari Mijinyawa, in an interview with OBASANJONEWS, denied these allegations, stating unequivocally that Ribadu did not provide the aircraft used to transport Bayero to Kano.

Mijinyawa cautioned politicians against making irresponsible statements, warning that such actions could undermine the efforts of security agencies working to maintain peace in the state and emphasizing the importance of accurate information dissemination.

Governor Abba Yusuf reinstated Lamido Sanusi as the 14th Emir of Kano on Friday, following the repeal of the Emirate Council Law 2019, which had established five emirate councils and appointed five first-class emirs.

Despite the governor's announcement of Sanusi's reinstatement, the Federal High Court has issued an order preventing the state government from implementing the new emirate council law that reinstated Sanusi, leading to ongoing legal disputes.

Security agencies in Kano have called on all parties involved in the conflict to adhere to the court order and have pledged to uphold peace and stability in the region, emphasizing the importance of compliance with legal processes in resolving disputes.
