AGN, Ruzu Holistics Team Up To kick Off Nollywood Health Campaign And Walk For Life In Lagos

Ruzu Holistics an arm of Ruzu Health Care Services Ltd in collaboration with AGN renders premium health care during the Nollywood Health Campaign and Walk For Life in Lagos.

The Health walk event which kicked off at the Onikan Stadium on 25th May, 2024 is meant to sensitize actors on the need to make health care paramount to avoid the recent increase in mortality rate amongst Nollywood actors broken down with illnesses factored from irregular check ups, lack of good health care routine, inadequate rejuvenating remedies for exhaustion/stress, improper diet, imbalanced hormones leading to low or high blood sugar, hypertensives, low protein, others....

Dignitaries who stormed the event includes notable faces in the entertainment industry; the likes of Desmond Eliot, Segun Arinze, Ali Baba and Nigeria historical gold medalist Rtd DCP Chioma Ajunwa. Other notable Nollywood actors also trooped in enmasse to join the walk for life with starting point at the Onikan Stadium down to Falomo Ikoyi and back.

Actors Guild of Nigeria National president Dr.Emeka Rollas during his opening speech revealed that the purpose of the health walk is aimed at educating actors to lay more focus on their health, says the health walk program was launched in Delta state in 2023, Lagos in 2024 and will be extended to other states over time. He said in 2023, death record in Nollywood surged immensely giving how proper health care routine has been ignored or simply over looked, an act of carelessness that could have been avoided. He said 2024 is earmarked for operation take care of your health leading to a series of health care programs set aside for members to check their health status, register with AGN HMO and insurance for health benefits.

Dr. Emeka Rollas in addition recognized the support of Dr. Roberts Onyemaechi Uzu, the CEO of Ruzu Health Care Services for his partnership with AGN to promote healthy life style for actors especially over the recent breakthrough incident of Nollywood veteran Prince Emeka Ani and how Ruzu Herbal Products became beneficial to restore his health status from a near death experience to revival. He said Dr. Uzu has treated over 35 ailing actors for free using Ruzu range of herbal products as well as Ruzu Holistics where all manner of test can be carried out to ascertain cause of ailment before treatment commences.


Prince Dr Emeka Ani, brand Ambassador for Ruzu Herbal Products stated that, he is pleased at the turn out of actors to observe the Nollywood Health Campaign and Walk For Life by the Lagos state chapter of AGN. He said as an Ambassador of the Ruzu brand, it is advisable that actors take their health status seriously and that's why Ruzu Holistics who's also a sponsor of the event is conducting free health care services for all actors with medical equipments to test the blood pressure, sugar level,give massages using modern machineries and other tests.

The MD/CEO Ruzu herbal products and Go-Wellness Worldwide Dr. Roberts Onyemaechi Uzu told Naomi Sophy Blog that his company's collaboration with AGN began 2 years ago when he observed the death rate of veterans, due to health issues in the Nollywood industry. He said the health awareness is an initiative decided by AGN and Ruzu Holistics to enable actors enjoy free health care services without having to spend so much with no result. More also, Ruzu Holistics will be giving free health check, massages and one on one conversation with actors who already knows their health status but seeks a potent solution, he affirmed.

Disheveled by the beg for support ailing actors seek, Dr. Uzu said it is disgraceful to see actors on the screen and all over social media, begging for money to restore healthy. He said, as a health care practitioner, this act perpetrated by ailing actors has further spurned him into building partnership with AGN so that actors can leverage on free health care services to regain good health. The Highlight of the AGN Health Campaign and Walk For Life is the football match which had Nollywood veteran Segun Arinze, Ali Baba and other actors as players, a dance spree by actors, musical displays and some other side attractions.
