THE governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, has reiterated his resolve not to probe the outgoing administration of Governor Ibrahim Idris if voted into office.

This came even as thousands of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) supporters, on Sunday, defected to the ACN in Olamaboro, Ankpa and Omala local government areas of the state.

To express their displeasure with the PDP, the members who defected openly tore and destroyed their membership cards.

People were excited when the campaign train of the governorship candidate of the ACN made a stop at the respective council.

The Ankpa Township Stadium was not only filled to capacity, but also overflowed into the adjoining streets when Audu came to the arena.

A former House of Representatives member and the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) senatorial candidate for Kogi East during the April elections, Honourable Attai Idoko Ali, also joined Audu’s campaign campaign.

Audu had earlier visited the Otaru of Otabaka in Olamaboro, Chief Ademu Abu; the Onu of Ankpa, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar and the Onu of Ife and chairman of Omala Traditional Council, Chief Boniface Musa.

At the three palaces, the ACN candidate promised to build befitting palaces for all traditional rulers in Kogi State and raise their present monthly allocation of three per cent to 20 per cent if voted into office.

He also promised to make the welfare of all traditional rulers a priority by buying limousines for all the first class chiefs.

Seems Audu has no better plan for ordinary people for Kogi except the high chiefs. Instead of him to campaign on how to harness the natural resources and potentials of the state and attract investors to develop the state he wants to make the rich richer.

What is he buying Limo for a king like Ohinoyi of Ebiraland -Ado Ibrahim? Well, I trust Ohi to never accept such gift from the state govt. He already has his Limo, Range Rovers sport and Toyota bullet proof. His house even bigger than the so called house.

Our northern leaders and hypocrisy!!! IF its all that matters to someone that needs to work on critical issues of education, health and economic restoration.I weep when such people campaign. cry cry cry cry
Frankly if only the traditional rulers were honest, they would have made a correction here by stating the needs of there people. The traditional leader should know that if his civilization or kingdom flourishes its all to his glory and helicopter could even be nothing for him.Your strength is with your people and not some 2 year guaranty vehicle. undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

Audu sounds like a very big fool

But maybe he is just saying this to get their support and will renege later. That is better than this wasteful use of public funds
