To me this is ground for disaster.  we can't control criminals as it is now, this strategy will result to RAMBOO robbery


Policemen escorting bullion vans will be withdrawn by October 27 unless the banks purchase and deploy


I.G. of Police, Mike Okirobullion vans that are bomb, bullet and fire-proof for the conveyance of money from the Central Bank to commercial banks and between different commercial banks.

Inspector General of Police Mr. Mike Okiro handed down the ultimatum in Abuja yesterday when he addressed a conference of top police officers at Force Headquarters, Abuja. He said unless the banks in Nigeria comply by providing bullion vans with the approved specification, no policeman should be assigned to escort any bullion van from the October deadline.
